HEY!
Welcome to the website and another "Get-Outta-Town Day" here in New York City.
I actually love the fact every year that I live here in New York, that I'm not hittin' the road today, and that most of my family is just a short train ride away tomorrow.

I wanna do a couple of kinda special things today.
First... once again... if somebody asks me this weekend to name a few of the many, many things for which I'm thankful, right up there has to be the very fact that you've all allowed me to be "That Guitar Man from Central Park" for so many years. I love this town. I love writing songs and singin' them for people. I love sharing my thoughts and my feelings and part of my Life with all of you here at the website and every summer in Central Park.

THANK YOU.
Here at the website this week, we've got a CONTEST in which you can win some stuff. We've got a new "Photoshop Gallery" and a new "Video Gallery". And there are 2 ways that you can get your tickets for the concert on December 12th.
TODAY! I'm gonna be sharing a podcast from a couple of years ago. It was the "Thanksgiving Weekend" episode in which I was kickin' round some thoughts about the holiday, the traditions surrounding it... um... and a brand new song I was working on back then called "Mary Learns to Fly".
Kinda cool, since that song is now a song and is on the new CD. A little further down the page, I'll make the finished song a FREE download as a holiday gift for you guys.
Y'know what I thought I'd do today as kind of a treat. I though I' d play an old podcast for you guys. It was the episode in which I played the entire original track of Arlo Guthrie's classic "Alice's Restaurant" in honor of the holiday.
Y'know? Listening to the podcast again after 2 years have gone by, I realize all that's gone by during our last lap around the Sun. And so, it brings back memories... some bittersweet, but mostly sweet.
So, after you get home from work today... (Or, while you're at work waiting for the boss to leave for the weekend.) ...download this mp3 into your ipod, make a cup of coffee, turn on your speakers or put on your headphones, sit back and enjoy.

Ahhhh, tradition.

Okay... now!
"The Something-th Annual Year End Concert"
If you're gonna be lucky enough to be in town, let's look forward to all getting together in one big room and having a great time... loving the company, on December 12th.
Yep! Tradition time. Or, you can call the box office directly. They're open today from noon until 7:00
(212) 501-3330
Y'know? You can call a bunch of friends and make a night of it. Kinda get together for the holidays that day and then make this gig icing on the cake. Or you might even wanna consider just coming by yourself. The vibe is pretty much the same as it is at "The Hill" in Central Park. So you know it's cool to come to something like this by yourself and be surrounded by the same cool people that you hang with all summer. Probably even look around and see a lot of the same faces.

But, it's gonna be a blast. At these things we often laugh as much as we sing. And I'm gonna have some really special people share the stage with me.
Hope I see you guys at the concert in 2 and a half weeks. Last I heard there were about 250 seats left. I'll check again and update you guys... probably a little later today or tonight!
THE CONCERT
You guys have made me "That Guitar Man from Central Park" for 18 years now. Very under-the-radar. What a gig! What a Life! Thank you!
At the end of every lap around the Sun we get together and kick the year in the ass as it heads out the door in a great music venue near Lincoln Center... Merkin Concert Hall in the Kaufman Center.
This year we'll be doing a whole bunch of new songs from the latest album, and I'll be joined on stage by some of the most generous, open-hearted, talented, good people... really wonderful artists. George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, Dave Marcus, Chris Tedesco and Cenovia Cummins. Folk-legend, Christine Lavin is gonna be in the house and will probably jump in on a few things. The man who brought The Beatles to America, Mr. Sid Bernstein, is gonna be in the audience so we'll all be in the company of American music history. AND... we laugh as much as we sing at these gigs.
.
You're not gonna wanna miss this one. This year it's on a SATURDAY NIGHT - - December 12th.
You can click on this banner to grab tickets online

This year we're also gonna be joined on stage by newcomer, the beautiful and talented Teresa Reynolds.
