Well, just 4 weeks from now.

Yep.

"The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is just 4 weeks away.

Doesn't seem like all that long ago we were all outside in Central Park sharing music and laughs in the middle of this great town.

.

In fact, today feels a little like we could be out there in the afternoon. But, the "outdoor" season is over.

Still, y'know?

If you've ever hung out with me out there, you know that sometimes my good friends and colleagues, or just people hangin' out will jump in and do a few songs. Folk-legend Christine Lavin has shown up several times and the crowd loves her!

But with all the nonsense in the news these days about certain people being in town seeking publicity right now, y'never know what would happen if we were singin' in the park today.

Which gives me an opportunity to mention once again that we're giving everyone who shows up at the website over the next few weeks a chance to win a 6-CD set of my albums and a "Crazy on the Same Day" baseball cap, just for having a little fun in the "Create a Caption Contest".

The suggestions are already coming in and I hafta tell you, there are a lot of really clever people out there.

A few people sent "comments" rather than "captions".... but I promise read every single email! Thanks for taking the time to respond. I think starting next week I might begin posting some of the captions AND comments here on this page!

Listen - - before I get back to the contest, let me just tell you that you can get tickets to the concert in December right now online, or by calling the box office directly. They're open today from noon until 7:00.

Or like I said, you can grab tickets right now online.

Click on this banner for tickets.

I'm gonna check the box office tomorrow.

But as of Friday afternoon, about half the tickets in the hall were still available. And the great thing about Merkin Hall is that there isn't a bad seat in that venue. If you've ever been there you know what I mean. The room sounds terrific and even the balcony is right on top of the stage. So, it's very intimate for a theater of that size.

OKAY!!!

THE CONTEST!

All you're gonna hafta do is come up with your own caption to one of my Photoshop images. I call this one...

.

It was inspired by part of Sarah Palin's interview with Oprah Winfrey that was released this week. The contest was inspired by sheer exhaustion and silliness after creating the image.

Here...

Click on this banner to find out how to make up your own caption , enter the contest and win stuff.

Cool?

Okay I'll see you back here tomorrow. Keep checking back here every day. This site is gonna be fun or the rest of the year!

Thanks for everything.

.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
