Well...

Okay, a wet start. Soggy start for today here in NYC. And as I'm writing this (1:35 pm) it just started raining again. So, I'm thinking we're not gonna be able to hang together in Central Park today.

Y'know, it's kinda funny. It's sick how long I usually play out there. C'mon, I know it! I mean, who consistently plays a 5 or 6 hour set without taking a break! so, if we get out there for 2 or 3 hours, it feels like nothing.

But, 2 or 3 hours is a helluva concert for most artists. (And I just love hangin' out with you guys.)

Still... even though I have a feeling we'll see the Sun before it sets tonight, I don't think there will be enough time to get to the park today.

While we're stuck indoors... I wanna share a couple of things with you.

FIRST a FREE download from the new album. Here's another song for you guys. It's a love song. Okay, it's a sad love song, and one of those songs that as a songwriter, I kinda wish I didn't hafta write. But to me, it's actually beautiful in a sweet, painfully raw kind of way. It's on the new CD.

Did You Fall in Love Again

And to pick you back up again...

One of the most powerful Love scenes in movie history, which closes with a heartwarming and beautiful dance.

Seriously, you're NOT gonna wanna miss this. (More about it as it gets closer.)

Um, y'know what? I'm just keep the video-thing going.

Most of the coolest moments that have happened spontaneously out there in the park every week all the years that I've been "That Guitar Man from Central Park" only exist now in the memory of our hearts and minds. Years ago, nobody was walking around with the ability to shoot video. Now, EVERYBODY'S got a camera and spontaneous moments are being captured and shared all over the world. Here's a couple from just a couple of weeks ago. At the top of the video, a young guy from London was shooting a video of his day in the park for his girl back home in the UK. We all thought we'd make it a little special for her.

But, THEN watch what happens!

Kinda cool, right!?

All right, check back this week to see if we're in Central Park next Saturday.

See you guys here at the site all week with anew update every day! If you're new around here, or if you're checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world, take a few minutes (or hours) to browse through the ARCHIVE. Lotsa cool shit in there.

.

Thanks for everything.

.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
