Hey, welcome to the website.

I've got some really interesting info for anyone who's about to buy tickets for this year's "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" - and you were planning to do it "online".

Um..... don't do it that way just yet!

If you wanna get your tickets today, call the box office directly. (I'll tell you why in a minute.)

Listen, I know there are people checking in here from all across the country and different parts of the world. It's just one of the very, VERY cool things about being "That Guitar Man from Central Park". Over the years, I have shared music, stories, thoughts, feelings and a whole lotta laughs with people from all over! Now... we all meet here! The world has become a very small campus. And that's just cool.

What a typically amazing season we had this year. All I can say is... THANKS AGAIN!

Man! What a year!

But, okay before we get into the concert I need to explain what I found out yesterday.

There are plenty of tickets left. But, the company that sells the tickets "online" is a third party vendor! So, they are only allotted a certain amount of tickets to sell each week. THAT'S why if you've gone online and it seemed that you couldn't get the seats in the orchestra or in the front of the balcony that you wanted, you might have thought that there were fewer seats available than there really are.

I was told by Jake in the box office that this genuinely ridiculous system will be done away with by next week. In the meantime, if you call the box office directly and speak to one of the cool people that work there, you'll have your choice of every seat in the house! Here's the number:

(212) 501-3330

Now.... I right now I don't know who's gonna introduce the evening yet. In the past we've had Sid Bernstein, the man who brought The Beatles to America, Kenny Kramer (the real Kramer), Norman Seigel of the ACLU, and so many good friends and beautiful people kick off the night. I mioght just ask a close friend to get the party started. But, maybe this year...wouldn't it be something if my one time friend and new nemesis and I could bury the hatchet long enough to have him introduce the gig?

Ah, maybe not.

.

Hey! This year I had such a great time singing about Life and Love.... singing the old songs we all love and some brand new songs from the newest CD.

Had a great time poking fun at some people who need a good going over and shining a light on some of the people in this world who just "don't get it". Click on these links to watch the respective videos. (I don't expect I'll be getting Christmas card from Bill O'Reilly or Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin this year.

And for sure, I won't be invited to the Cheney family Christmas.

That's okay!

Around here, we have our own way of kicking each year in the ass as it heads out the door. We have our own yearly tradition.

That's TRADITION.

From the sanskrit word "tra" meaning "out" - and the Sumarian words "di shun", meaning "of ideas".

I think maybe every year we do the same thing because.... um... we're.... um... out of ideas.

I think that's what tradition means. It's possible that when the Pilgrims had their very first day of Thanksgiving, the elders decided to have turkey as the main course of the meal. The following year, they probably sat around the colony and said, "We shall have our Thanksgiving Day again? Uh.... what sayest thee we prepare for our meal this year?"

"Um... I'm out of ideas. What sayest.... um.... turkey again."

.

So, here we go again! At the end of the year, it'll be time for...

THE SOMETHING'TH ANNUAL YEAR END CONCERT

(What sayest ye we have it back at the concert hall of Merkin?)

This year we'll be doing a whole bunch of new songs from the latest album, and I'll be joined on stage by favorites George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan and Dave Marcus. Gonna be a blast!

.

You're not gonna wanna miss this one. We laugh as much as we sing. This year it's on a SATURDAY NIGHT - - December 12th.

You can call the box office TODAY!!!

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
