Hey guys!

Welcome back to the website! Got a new Photoshop image for you here today and a FREE song to download.

And, I guess some of you are still looking for a place to download that image from Saturday's update, "The FOX NEWS Tea Party". (Just click on this link!)

Okay. Okay. You're wondering why I spend any time shining a light on buffoons like Glenn Beck!? Well, even if his world view wasn't so corrosive and fear-driven.... ON HIS SHOW HE'S MADE A POINT ON HIS SHOW OF DEMEANING, RIDICULING AND INSULTING THE SONG "PEACE TRAIN". By Cat Stevens

(Am I offended as a thinking, feeling human being? Um.... sure. But... HA! I'm more insulted as an artist!)

Hey! Here's a sample of a track that's on the new album and we'll probably be doing LIVE at Merkin Hall this year. (People at FOX can make fun of this one, too, if they want. I'll write more.)

KEEP HOPE ALIVE

Okay! On with the update! Many of you are checking in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. All I can say for those of you in New York City... I'm soooooo glad that stretch of weather is outta here!

MAN!

Cold, rainy, windy, nasty! But the Sun is back out today!!!

But listen... even though I don't have the Special Events Permit for next Saturday yet, if the weather breaks the way I think it's going to, I'm gonna give our friend in the Parks Department, Nelson Nicholas a call and see if it would be cool to head out there one mo' time.

Got a lot of really cool reactions and email to the little PHOTO GALLERY from the Summer of 2009 that I posted in yesterday's update. Believe me, it doesn't come close to representing all the good times we had out there this year. If there was a moment or day that you don't see there, it's because just threw that together yesterday.

Before I get to today's Photoshop Image, I just wanna give some of you men out there another reason to grab tickets for this year's "Something'th Annual Year End Concert" (Just for the newcomers around here.)

More about the concert in a minute. But, yeah.... Teresa Reynolds and Janet Kirker are gong to be sharing the stage with me this year.

Oh, oh, oh hey listen! Before I forget!

Thanks to anyone who jumped into the comment page on YouTube surrounding one of my more topical music videos. Seriously, it's nice to know you guys have got may back. (There are a lot of shallow, twisted people out there!) The video is a newer version of "Resolution".

I GUESS IT PISSES SOME PEOPLE OFF BECAUSE IT FOCUSES A LITTLE BIT MORE ON THE GLENN BECK'S OF THE WORLD.

Ha!

Okay... now, about last weekend and all the thousands of cool people with whom I get to hang out. Out there, I sing a lot of my own songs. But,I also sing some cover tunes. Click on this link to see what happens when I sing a song by Jason Mraz.

an iphone moment

Sometimes I say, "If somebody described to me what I do out there in the park... I probably wouldn't go!" I mean, it's tough to describe the sweet things that go on out there. Very often we laugh as much as we sing. Just kinda go with the day! Like this moment in the middle of the day when a guy comes up to me and tells me that one of the young ladies he's with is visiting New York City... and having a birthday at the same time.

I found out where she was visiting from, and asked him to get someone from her hometown on the phone. This is what happened.

Okay!

HERE'S TODAY'S PHOTOSHOP IMAGE!

Just because Dick Cheney is in his underground lair avoiding prosecution for war crimes doesn't mean that the people of Reason and Goodness in this country can stop paying attention.

Click on this image.

'at's enough to send a chill up your spine, hah?

I have a feeling his creation is going to be more dangerous than her creator... mostly because Liz Cheney doesn't physically appear to be more evil than her dear ol' dad.

Okay... back to the music.

Hey! How'd you like the little e-trade baby spot!? I just wanna think of a few more fun ways to give you guys the box office phone number to call for tickets for the gig in December.

Or... click on this banner to order tickets online right now!

I'm gonna be joined on stage again by George Wurzbach, Nelson Montana, Ryan Cavan... crowd favorites Dave Marcus and Janet Kirker. And this year we'll be joined by singer Teresa Reynolds and rap artist JC Hall. (I'm hoping to feature one of the amazing violinists who appeared on the new CD, Cenovia Cummins.)

Alright, I'm gonna get out of here now.

I've got a whole lotta work to do to corral all the artists.... kinda gotta give 'em at least a rough sketch of what the night's gonna look like in December. (Yeah, we always make it up as we go along. But, it's important to point everybody at the same runway so we can all take off together!)

See you back here tomorrow with another update. Check back all week to see if we're gonna make it out to Central Park again this coming Saturday.

Thanks for everything.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
