Still lookin' at the satellite imagery for this coming Saturday. We'll see.
Maybe.
Maybe we'll get out to Central Park one more time this season. Keep checking back.

That's just for those of you here in New York City. To everybody else checking in here from across the country and different parts of the world... WELCOME!
Well, before we get to anything else...
.
THEY'RE BAAAAAACCCKKK!!!
Our post-season girls! (Not that I'm superstitious or nothin'.)
Because THAT was officially a spanking last night!
AND, the Yankees go up 3 games to 1 in the best-of-seven series. Lookin' good. Actually, last night both teams looked good exceptfor the Angels pitching. Only the umpires had a really rough night. I'm beginning to feel pretty strongly that Major League Baseball should really consider limited use of instant-replay.
Got a big, BIG game from C.C. Sabathia. Derek Jeter is just Mr. Consistency. And while no one could ever accuse me of being a fan of Alex Rodriguez, right now I have a feeling he's so locked in that he's gotta be seeing the ball better than he has all season!
But, umpire Tim McClelland had one of the worst games I've seen in a long time, and he wasn't alone. There were more missed calls and bad calls on both sides than there really oughta be in any game... never mind a playoff game. I mean, BADLY missed calls!

Moving on!
HEY! It's Wednesday! The box office is open!
(212) 501-3330
What box office?
The box office at Merkin Concert Hall!
Yes, the tickets for this yearly tradition are on sale now.
I've been talking to some of the artists who are gonna share the stage with me that night, and everybody is so jazzed for it again this year.
Gonna be a good one.
If you've ever been to one of these things, you know how much fun we have on stage. Just to bring back a couple of memories from past concerts, and just to get you jazzed up for this one, here's a moment from one show. But for the life of me I can't tell you when it was. (Hence the title of this year's show "The Something'th Annual...")
So this year, I'm gonna be joined on stage again by George Wurzbach, Nelson Montana, Ryan Cavan... crowd favorites Dave Marcus and Janet Kirker. And this year we'll be joined by singer Teresa Reynolds and rap artist JC Hall. (I'm hoping to feature one of the amazing violinists who appeared on the new CD, Cenovia Cummins.)
Oh...
Oh, okay.Here's the baby again.
Alright, I'm gonna get out of here now.
I've got a whole lotta work to do to corral all the artists.... kinda gotta give 'em at least a rough sketch of what the night's gonna look like in December. (Yeah, we always make it up as we go along. But, it's important to point everybody at the same runway so we can all take off together!)
See you back here tomorrow with another update. Check back all week to see if we're gonna make it out to Central Park again this coming Saturday.
IF YOU'RE NEW AROUND HERE...
Hit the "Archive" and go back through the updates. Seriously, lotsa fun stuff in past updates.... FREE songs to download, video, Photoshop images, originals cartoons. Go have fun. I'll be back tomorow.
Thanks for everything.
PEACE

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
