Well, kind of an autumnal day here in New York City... heading into a rainy night. Hope they get the Yankees game in. Lots and lots of rain heading this way today and tonight.

BUT!!!

I'm thinkin' this weather's gonna break and the rain will all be outta here by noon tomorrow, and we'll all get to head out to Central Park at least one mo' time before we hafta wrap another season. Check back tomorrow and I'll let you know for sure!

This has been another typically amazing year.

Although, now this is the time of year when the young women have stopped showing up in bathing suits, and the young guys aren't wearing shorts and sandals... and even a guitar man playing in the Sun is gonna keep his shirt on these days.

.

.

But, man! What a great summer!

And now it's time to start looking froward to the first BIG "indoor" concert of the new season. "THE SOMETHING'TH ANNUAL YEAR-END CONCERT"

More about that gig in a minute.

First, I wanna draw the attention of any newcomers to this website to the fact that you can catch up with what's been going on around here in the ARCHIVE. Seriously, there are years of updates... FREE songs to download, music video, original cartoons, Photoshops images, editorials and opinion pages.

Besides living from day to day in amazement and gratitude for the Life I'm living these days and the good people in my Life, one of the things I've been paying attention to during the last half of this year is the amount of balderdash and hypocrisy coming out of people who call themselves "Conservative Christians"... and out of destructive, shallow minded fear-profiteers like Glenn Beck.

HEY! By the way... when Beck came out to Central Park this past summer and I let him sit-in for those two songs, you guys didn't tell me that he got upset when I played an acoustic version of "Resolution"!!!

He was sitting slightly behind me so I didn't see that he was crying. Listen, my aim is not to make people like him cry. It's to help people like him see Reason, or at the very least make them stop hurting the world.

Tell you what! Here are a couple of other videos that might make you smile. (Or, they might make you angry... in which case you're probably at the right website!) Y'see, as an American singer/songwriter part of my job description is "to comfort the disturbed... and disturb the comfortable." As a free-thinking man who is politically a registered Independent, it's a swell place for me to write songs that speak to reason, principle and basic human decency with nearly complete disregard for partisan politics.

But, there are some buffoons in political punditry who are just... well, I would say are genuine assholes. But, let's just say... they're fun material for a couple of hooky songs.

.

Okay...

Let's get back to the stuff that feels GOOD! Like a couple of swell memories from this past summer. Remember the young woman who wanted to share her birthday with her twin sister in Florida! (Turned into an iPhone moment.) And, remember this one of the many, many wedding couples who happened by and shared their very first dance with me... and people from New York City and all around the world.

So cool.

OKAY... THE CONCERT!!!!!!

This year we'll be doing a whole bunch of new songs from the latest album, and I'll be joined on stage by favorites George Wurzbach and Dave Marcus. Gonna be a blast!

.

You're not gonna wanna miss this one. We laugh as much as we sing. This year it's on a SATURDAY NIGHT - - December 12th.

This year along with George and Dave, you guys are gonna get to hang with some wonderful artists... Janet Kirker, Nelson Montana, a few surprise guests, and the beautiful and talented Teresa Reynolds.

Seriously, you're NOT gonna wanna miss this one.

Okay, I'm outta here. Got songs to write and a big, new, ridiculously audacious project to get to work on.

So, I'll see you back here tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
