Okay, the chill in this air is probably a teaser. It's probably not the real onset of autumn just yet. But, man! It feels like it.

Y'know, we'll probably get back to those sunny days in the mid-seventies before too long. But right now, it's sure feeling a little bit like we're wrappin' up another season put in Central Park. I'm watching the radar for this coming Saturday. The system of rain might move through in time for us to have another day of music and laughs out there. But, I think the "shirtless" days are behind us for 2009.

Man! We had some great crowds out there this year. So many beautiful, open-hearted, sweet people.

It was swell singing with people from all across this country and from all around the world. I love this town!

Seriously, you're NOT gonna wanna miss this. (More about it as it gets closer.)

But, we still have a few more weekends to play in Central Park. So check back and make sure we're gonna be out there.

Here a couple of previously posted videos from past weekends. Hundreds of New Yorkers hangin' with hundreds of people from across the country and around the world, strangers hangin' out in the middle of the crossroads of human civilization, New York City... just having fun being themselves.

NOW!

Last Saturday, I did an acoustic version of a song that I wrote for the new CD. It's a song that I'm particularly proud of because musically it's one of the most audacious things I've ever tried - - taking rock, folk, rap, soul, country and fusing them so that all these genres come together at the end in one powerful statement of Truth. (A Truth that misguided people in the right-wing of this country are being led away from by smarmy, unprincipled frauds and blowhards like Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Liz Cheney and others.)

Here's a brand new fusion of the acoustic and the produced video.

I'm calling this version... Resolution: Where's the Voice

Okay....

Keep showing up guys.

THE NEW ALBUM IS HERE AND YOU CAN GET IT RIGHT NOW!

The webmaster of this site, James Marino, posted that convenient link at the top of this page on the left for you to order the CD right now. (I'll let you know the minute the individual tracks are available on itunes as well.)

'

I'm gonna try to figure out a way to really celebrate it's arrival. Maybe we'll just make the "Year-End Concert" in December a kind of "release party" as well as the fun tradition that gig is every year! It's gonna be swell to get all the artists on stage with me to play this thing LIVE.

Here are A few 2-minute clips from the CD:

KEEP HOPE ALIVE

MARY LEARNS TO FLY

ANY OTHER WAY

.

Okay, I'm outta here. Got songs to write and a big, new, ridiculously audacious project to get to work on.

So, I'll see you back here tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
