I'm keepin' one eye on the radar imagery at The Weather Channel. (I don't pay much attention to what they "say"... just what I see in the radar.)
There's a front coming through. It's just gonna be a matter of timing as to when it really defines itself and heads through New York City. I'm hoping it hold off, or that high pressure from the north actually pushes all the rain south of us so that we can get another day to hang together out in Central Park.

Y'know? Beofre we get to today's update, I'd like to pass along a littl PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.
I don't know about you, but as a good-hearted, caring American citizen, I've been really concerned about the well-being and comfort of our insurance executives in this country.
If you're also concerned that some of these millionaires are suffering, please take a moment to watch this important video by Will Ferrell and some of his colleagues.
HEY! Remember this photo that was posted on this site 2 days ago?
Well, my good friend of many years who was a musical partner of mine back in the Bleecker Street Days, sent me his own version of this image... and said in the email that he thought I worked alone these days. (Go back up and click on the photo for his artwork.)
Thanks MV!!! Nice work!
(Did you all click on the photo?)
Y'know, speaking of Bleecker Street...

Here's another video of an original song I did on Saturday... a darker song about hitting bottom back in my "sex, drugs and rock n roll" days. It's called "Lost on Bleecker Street" and to be honest, I didn't even know this video was on the internet until I saw it yesterday! (Tellin' ya! Everybody's got a camera!)
This is one of the many reason I always sound like a broken record when I tell you guys out there that I feel like the luckiest man on the planet.
Hey listen, it just a fact that we're wrapping up another season of outdoor music. But I should probably start telling you now that the date is all set for "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall. I'm gonna be joined on stage once again by George Wurzbach, Nelson Montanna, drummer Ryan Cavan and a whole bunch of the regular artists you guys have come to know and love over the years. It's gonna be blast! So, start thinkin' about who you're gonna ask to make a night of it as it gets closer.
Saturday night, December 12th
We'll be doing a lot of songs from the new album!
'
I'm gonna try to figure out a way to really celebrate it's arrival. Maybe we'll just make the "Year-End Concert" in December a kind of "release party" as well as the fun tradition that gig is every year! It's gonna be swell to get all the artists on stage with me to play this thing LIVE.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
