I'm getting some really wonderful and gratifying feedback from the newest edit of my song and music video "Resolution".
I'd like to hear from YOU, too. (Its' a little further down the page.)
First... welcome to all of you checking in from across the country and in different parts of the world. To all of you here in New York City, gotta tell you.... I'm lookin' at the radar imagery and trying to get a picture for this weekend. Right now, it's lookin' pretty shaky. But who knows? We might get out there again this Saturday. And.... there goes September!

Y'know? At this time of the year, when the air starts to chill and the Sun takes a lower path as it moves across the autumn sky, I start to think back to what a great season you gave me again as... "That Guitar Man from Central Park".

I mean, there were a couple of "Hot Dog Days". Once in a while to say "Thank You, New York" I like to scoop up some money from the guitar case and buy like 200 hot dogs for whoever wants one. (We did it again! Twice this year! What a blast!)

There were fun spontaneous moments like this one.

If it made you smile, send the link to all your friends and family around the world and let them share part of your day in Central Park. Oh! And if you're looking for the last 2 "Wedding Couples' First Dances" just check yesterday's update here.
Not all the amazing moments were happening from behind a microphone. sitting out in the crowd, a lovely young woman was creating a sketch to capture the day. (Thanks Naomi!)

I'm telling you...
I think we'll get out there again this year, maybe even this weekend. But, I just wanted to spend part of today's update saying "Thanks Again"!!!!

NOW!
Last Saturday, I did an acoustic version of a song that I wrote for the new CD. It's a song that I'm particularly proud of because musically it's one of the most audacious things I've ever tried - - taking rock, folk, rap, soul, country and fusing them so that all these genres come together at the end in one powerful statement of Truth. (A Truth that misguided people in the right-wing of this country are being led away from by smarmy, unprincipled frauds and blowhards like Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Liz Cheney and others.)
Here's a brand new fusion of the acoustic and the produced video.
I'm calling this version... Resolution: Where's the Voice
And, if you'd like to hear the companion track that helped inspire "Resolution", click on this photo for a FREE download of the song:
WHERE'S THE VOICE
Okay....
Keep showing up guys.
THE NEW ALBUM IS HERE AND YOU CAN GET IT RIGHT NOW!
The webmaster of this site, James Marino, posted that convenient link at the top of this page on the left for you to order the CD right now. (I'll let you know the minute the individual tracks are available on itunes as well.)

I'm gonna try to figure out a way to really celebrate it's arrival. Maybe we'll just make the "Year-End Concert" in December a kind of "release party" as well as the fun tradition that gig is every year! It's gonna be swell to get all the artists on stage with me to play this thing LIVE.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
