Sorry for the late update...

Gotta start off by saying, "What a BEAUTIFUL day here in New York City!!!"

No kidding.

September is a swell month weather-wise in NYC. Hoping that this weather strings right through the weekend. I can't wait to hang out with you guys again in Central Park.

Been missing playing in the park. Between the gig in Germany and the ongoing situation with the Permit Office and the weather, it feels like forever since we've shared some music and laughs out there. But, I'll try to find out if we're gonna be at "The Away Game" or if we'll be returning to "The Hill".

I gotta say... playing on the south side of the Lake doesn't quite feel like home to me. But it's so good to strap a guitar on my shoulder and hang out with you wherever I might land. (And the view for you guys is actually pretty swell over there.)

Okay, listen...

I hate to mix such negative things into a website that is all about music, and laughs, and Love, and that "It's Just Us" feeling. I wish I didn't have to pay attention to evil people in this country... but, I guess we all have to at times.

And so, I'm sorry I have to do this again. But, Dick Cheney and his daughter have been making the rounds on national television again declaring that it's okay for the United States government to abandon basic human decency in our name, and it's okay for people like them to break our laws with impunity, and it's morally acceptable to torture another human being using fear and cowardice as justification.

Well, none of those things is okay with me.

PLEASE, hit this link.... watch the video one more time right up until you read the credits at the very end. Then, leave a comment and be sure to forward the link to about 10 more people you want to touch wit the message in the song.

Do it today, okay?

PLEASE pass it on to every single person you know in this country and around the world. (Even those people who condone the use of torture for the sake of their own security.)

Then go to YouTube and leave a comment.

OKAY, back to the park and the new CD!!!

Yes, it's here!

If you wanna get your own copy, I hope to see you in the park this weekend!

Listen, I'll be back tomorrow with another new update. Keep checkin' back, okay? If you're new around here, or if you're checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world, take a few minutes (or hours) to browse through the ARCHIVE. Lotsa cool shit in there.

Keep showing up guys.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
