Hey!!! Welcome to all of you here in New York City, across the country, and in different parts of the world.

Listen, I know if you've been checking in here for the past few weeks you know how passionate I feel about the message in my new song "Resolution". And, I guess you know that there is an effort beginning to get that message, with your help, into every home in America.

But, there seems to be a little indecision, even among the "Good Guys", about the best way to get that done. So, everything is on hold until I get a new TV ad re-shot, re-edited and approved by the National Accountability Action Network and the people over at NBC legal.

I'll let you know how it works out. Sooner than later, I hope.

BUT TODAY!!!

I'm heading to Central Park today!

If you're here in NYC, I hope I see you out there.

Why?

BECAUSE THE NEW ALBUM IS HERE!!!!

Yeah, the new CD is called "Wouldn't Want It Any Other Way" and I'm gonna have it with me in the park today. Yeah, I know. I know. It's way overdue. But, when you hear the tracks in this collection, I think you're gonna understand why I'm sure it was important to take my time with this one.

Keep Hope Alive, Internet Angel, Some Wounds Never Heal, Resolution,
What Made America Famous, Mary Learns to Fly, Did you Fall in Love Again,
Tom Cruise Scares Me, I Can't Wait, Here Today, Any Other Way, This Moment

.

So if you're not doin' anything else today and you're in town, grab a friend and head out to Central Park to hang with me. Or come by yourself. It's cool. It's actually a comfortable place to hang and possibly meet some new friends.

But to all the regulars... we're not gonna be in the same spot I've been singin' at for all these years. While the shoreline of "The Hill" (Hernshead Landing) is being restored, we're right over on the south side of the Lake at place I like to call "The Away Game" (It's really called "Cherry Hill".)

Here's a map.

I played there the past two Saturdays. It's a great location and you guys really seem to enjoy the view. See you out there.

NOW!

Back to some important stuff - - the song and the video and the ad campaign for "Resolution"

If your organization wants to truly step up and put the pressure on Eric Holder to appoint a special prosecutor to see Dick Cheney and others held accountable for bringing such worldwide disgrace to this country and it's people, then jump on board.

If you support this effort with real dollars, I WILL PUT A PERMANENT LINK on this site, and I will PUT YOUR ORGANIZATION'S NAME AND URL right in the original music video. (Groups of dedicated people like Veterans for Peace and High Road for Human Rights and YOUR organization can appear in the video if you all step up to help get these TV spots on the air.)

Let's get this done!!!!

TOGETHER!

This appeared on The New York Times site last week.

I know. I know. Maybe you're asking, "David, you're a singer/songwriter! What the hell are you doin' getting all fired up about this stuff!? Why should we donate money to get this message on TV across the country!?"

Two answers:

1. As an American folk/rock singer, part of my job description is to "comfort the disturbed.... and disturb the comfortable

2. And as free American citizens and a decent human beings, part of all our job descriptions is to be vigilant, to pay attention... and to give a damn!

Good?

See you guys here at the site all week with anew update every day! If you're new around here, or if you're checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world, take a few minutes (or hours) to browse through the ARCHIVE. Lotsa cool shit in there.

And here are A few 2-minute clips from the CD I'll havewith me in the park today:

KEEP HOPE ALIVE

INTERNET ANGEL

ANY OTHER WAY

.

Thanks for everything.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
