Man! I played a lot of music this weekend! On Friday night I played a little benefit gig to raise money for the airing of the TV spots that will steer people to the message in the new song "Resolution" and put pressure on our Attorney General to do his damned job! (More about that in a minute.)BUT.... you can help. YOU can be a very real part of this extraordinary effort.
Seriously... we need to raise a BIG chunk of change to make this happen, and "talk" does almost nothing to help. Same with email, and blogging, and web hits, and YouTube view numbers. That's all fun and invigorating. But, we need you to actually hit the "Donate" button so we can get this message into every home in America.
I'll tell you what we have in mind a little further down the page.
BUT... for right now! Gotta tell you, I'm completely jazzed about this new CD coming out this week.
THE NEW CD IS COMING OUT LATER THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!

And, I also hafta say THANKS to every single one of you who came out to Central Park to share and afternoon of music and laughs. (Ha! Except for that one guy who called me an asshole. I just hope he's having a better day today!)
It's okay, I'm a big boy.
But man! What a great weekend! All of you down on the Pier on Friday night. Then people from all across the country and around the world singing together in Central Park! Kinda cool to hear that many people from all across the country laughing at Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity and that many people from all around the world laughing at Sarah Palin. Gives me hope.
But, more than anything, it's good for my soul to hear that many people just singing together! "Crazy on the Same Day" and "Resolution" and "Imagine" and so many great songs!
Then last night, I went up to Yankee Stadium with a guy from "The Hill" who I call David Yankee, and watched the boys take the broom to the Red Sox. (Ah, the Universe is finally right-side-up.) Gonna be tough for Boston to come back from a mid-August sweep. Tough tough losses.
Lester pitched great for Boston. Pettite pitched great for the Yankees. And then Phil Coke comes, gives up a go-ahead home run.... AND GETS THE WIN!!!!!
Gotta love it!
. CLICK FOR LARGER IMAGE ...and the broom was sent in to the website by another "Hill" Yankees fan, Andrea.
NOW!
Back to the important stuff.
If your organization wants to truly step up and put the pressure on Eric holder to appoint a special prosecutor to see Dick Cheney and others held accountable for bringing such worldwide disgrace to this country and it's people, then jump on board.
If you support this effort with real dollars, I WILL PUT A PERMANENT LINK on this site, and I will PUT YOUR ORGANIZATION'S NAME AND URL right in the original music video. (Note the way Veterans for Peace and High Road for Human Rights appear in the video.
Let's get this done!!!!!
Here's the original music video. CLICK ON THE IMAGE TO WATCH IT.
And here are the original TV spots that starting airing last week on the West coast.

commercials I'm talkin' about.

TOGETHER!
See you guys here at the site all week with anew update every day! If you're new around here, or if you're checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world, take a few minutes (or hours) to browse through the ARCHIVE. Lotsa cool shit in there.
.
Thanks for everything.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
