Okay! Fun update today.

Today, no matter where in the country or where in the world you're reading this... you get to see the new TV spot that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens are planning to get on the air, maybe as soon as next week.

Okay I'll get to that in a minute. But first as always, I need to thank every single one of you for showing up here today, and every single person who came out to Central Park to hang with me this weekend.

Really was another typically amazing day.

Listen, I'm NOT gonna be in Central Park this weekend, or at the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert in Hudson River Park. Sorry!!! I'm gonna miss you guys. But, I booked a gig in Berlin, Germany.... one night only. Then I hop on a plane and come back. I'm really looking forward to the trip. These two really cool people over there just went ahead and arranged the whole thing by themselves after spending some weekends with all of us in the park here in New York.

Look... maybe by the time I'm back the following weekend, we'll be back singin' at "The Hill" the place I call home.

If you've been coming around here at all, you know that I just recorded and released a brand new CD. It's called "Wouldn't Want It Any Other Way". Got a whole lotta different styles of songs in this collection. But one of the songs was made into a music video before the album was even released, because a couple of people in my circle of friends and colleagues told me that they believed the message in the song was too important to wait for the release of the CD.

The process of getting this thing out to every home in America is just beginning. There was a series of independently produced TV ads that I shot with the help of Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Dean Love, his bother Dave the editor, press-rep Laura Manske and a remarkable woman in California named Cynthia Papermaster. Those spots aired in the San Francisco Bay Area last week, but ran into some resistance and snags with NBC Universal and other networks legal departments here in the East.

So instead of fighting and digging in our heels, we simply re-shot the ads. (I've never really learned anything in my Life by getting it right the first time.)

SO, WE JUST GOT AMAZINGLY GOOD NEWS YESTERDAY THAT I CAN SHARE WITH YOU TODAY!!!

The new spots were approved for national distribution. Here is a first look at the spot. (Let me know what you think.)

I'm really very serious... I'm going away at the end of the week. I'll be back in the country next Monday.

But, when you hear the tracks in this collection, I think you're gonna understand why I'm sure it was important to take my time with this one.
