Welcome to all of you in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. I'm "That Guitar Man from Central Park", so naturally I'm located here in New York City.
If you were with me on Pier 45 this past Friday night, or if you were hanging put with my all day Saturday afternoon on Central Park.... THANKS AGAIN!
I gotta say... playing on the south side of the Lake doesn't quite feel like home to me. But it's so good to strap a guitar on my shoulder and hang out with you wherever I might land. (And the view for you guys is actually pretty swell over there.)

I had just another typically amazing weekend. So, thanks again. And thanks to Laura Manske for sending these great photos into the website!
THERE'S A LOT GOIN' ON THIS WEEK!!!!'
Just released the new album!!! (More about that in a minute!)
And I should probably say this one more time.... ALEXANDRA!
Okay, movin' on.
YES! The new album is here!!! "WOULDN'T WANT IT ANY OTHER WAY"
And yes! We're still trying to raise money to get the music video "Resolution" into every home in America. Yeah, yeah.... I know all about the statute of limitations in this country concerning the authorization and use of torture. But as far as I'm concerned, Dick Cheney is a war criminal. And according to international law, it is incumbent upon every civilized nation to arrest a war criminal the minute he sets foot on their soil. So, I still have hope that we can find a measure of accountability in the country. (Still... we need YOU. Reading this right now, to go to that little "donate" button up there in the top-right corner of this page and send a few dollars, to get the new .30 TV commercial on the air.)
If you care enough to help.... that'd be swell, too!

I'm hoping I have some good news this week concerning the TV campaign to get this message out!
I hope we get approval from Jennifer Santos at NBC Universal and all the legal people at Comedy Central in every market in the country. I also hope it happens sooner than later.
'Cause I'm heading to Germany at the end of this week for a one-night concert. So, I'm not gonna be able to hang with you in the park next weekend.
Seriously.... I'm flying to Berlin to one gig on Saturday night and then turning around and flying right back. I hope that those commercials are running by then. I really do.
(I'm trying to learn the really important phrases I might need for this trip.)
Ich bin sooooooooo verloren
.
.
(Translation: I am soooooooo lost!)
I'm sure this is gonna be... a... uh... an adventure. I really can't wait to go. gonna be cool.
I'll be sure to bring a bunch of copies of the new CD with me.... spread the message, spread the Love, spread the music around.
Yeah, the new CD is called "Wouldn't Want It Any Other Way" and I'm gonna have it with me in the park today. Yeah, I know. I know. It's way overdue. But, when you hear the tracks in this collection, I think you're gonna understand why I'm sure it was important to take my time with this one.
Keep Hope Alive, Internet Angel, Some Wounds Never Heal, Resolution,
What Made America Famous, Mary Learns to Fly, Did you Fall in Love Again,
Tom Cruise Scares Me, I Can't Wait, Here Today, Any Other Way, This Moment
Ha!
I'm already thinkin' about the "Year-End Concert" in December to get all the artists on stage with me to play this thing LIVE.
Listen, I'll be back tomorrow with another new update. Keep checkin' back, okay? If you're new around here, or if you're checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world, take a few minutes (or hours) to browse through the ARCHIVE. Lotsa cool shit in there.
Keep showing up guys.
Thanks for everything.
.
PEACE

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
