Well...

Yes. I am still very, very, very serious about pressuring our Attorney General into doing his damned job. It's why I wrote the song "Resolution" and it's why I turned it into a music video meant to inspire people to "action". (I am going to get into that again further down this page.)

Be sure to scroll down and read everything. You'll have a chance to be a part of an effort across the country to see something really Good happen in this country.

But, first... more good news!

.

.

IT'S HERE!

The new album arrived today.

I'LL HAVE IT WITH ME TONIGHT!

I'LL HAVE IT WITH ME IN CENTRAL PARK TOMORROW!!!

Yes. I know it's been long overdue. But, I'm really so pleased and proud of this collection of songs. I can't wait for you guys to hear it.

Keep Hope Alive, Internet Angel, Some Wounds Never Heal, Resolution,
What Made America Famous, Mary Learns to Fly, Did you Fall in Love Again,
Tom Cruise Scares Me, I Can't Wait, Here Today, Any Other Way, This Moment

Now, it'll be a little while before you can pick it up "online" or get the songs on itunes.

BUT! I will have copies with me TONIGHT at the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert at 7:00 down in The Village.

And...

I will bring the VERY FIRST copies of the new CD to Central Park with me tomorrow!

So...

TONIGHT!

Yes! The "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series picks back up again. I'll be singing and playing the Sun down over the Hudson River on Pier 45 in The Village. It's a very cool thing. Just take the #1 train to Christopher Street and walk west until you either see me, or you get wet, or wind up in Jersey. (I'll be hangin' out in the middle of the Hudson River at the end of Pier 45)

Same kind of hang as in Central Park, only this goes from 7:00 to 9pm and we play the sun down with the Statue of Liberty looking on. Like just about everything else I do, it's FREE.

If you're not doing anything and you need to get that fix of that "It's Just Us" feeling, head down to Pier 45 at the very end of Christopher Street. Bring a blanket and hang out with the below-fourteenth-street-crowd.

.

Then tomorrow, I'm heading back to Central Park for another afternoon of music and laughs. I hope to see you out there. We're not gonna be in the same location I've been playing for so many years.... the place we all call "The Hill". It's being restored and renovated. So, for a few weeks we'll be on the other side of the Lake in a location I like to call "The Away Game".

DON'T WORRY! I made a map for you to print out so it will be easy for you guys to get there!

Here:

I played there years ago. It's a great location and you guys will really, really enjoy the view.

See you out there.

Seriously, it's gonna be a great day. You never know who's gonna show up or wanna sit in for a few songs. Last week, Christine Lavin showed up and jammed. Very cool.

Chris is also the woman seen and heard singing with me in the video "Resolution". I'm just gonna show any newcomers the original video.

Now, a serious effort is being made to get the message of this song and video into every home in America. Emmy Award-winning director Dean Love and his brother, professional editor Dave Love are finalizing a re-worked ad that hopefully will pass the legal department at NBC Universal to begin airing in every other part of the country.

Wish us luck.

Here are the first round of commercials from out west. Check 'em out.

Y'know?

This is a serious time for serious people.

If you'd like to help this project become a reality, go back up to the top of this page, hit the PayPal "donate" button and send whatever you can. If you have suggestions and criticisms of the ads or the video.... save it for the comments page on YouTube. "Talk" and my Metro Card will get me ion the subway. This is not a time for talk... or blog.

This is a serious time for serious people.

Okay.... I'm outta here. If you're new around here, or if you're checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world, take a few minutes (or hours) to browse through the ARCHIVE. Lotsa cool shit in there.

Keep showing up guys.

I'll be back tomorrow with another update.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
