Hey! TONIGHT! You feel like hangin' out with a whole bunch of really great people, sharing some music and laughs, and havin' a good time making this country a better place all at the same time.
Okay, I tell you about that right on the other side of this important message banner!
(Did you click on the donate button and send something? C'mon... even just a few bucks? Whatever you can.)
.
Listen, tomorrow keep your fingers crossed for the weather. I really wanna get back to Central Park... and "The Away Game".
Tonight I'm gonna be doin' a FREE CONCERT in Hudson River Park at 7:00. Tell you all about that further down the page.
But, THIS is important today.
Okay, listen... there are an awful lotta really cool things goin' on around here these days. first of all, the first of the TV commercials that were inspired by the song RESOLUTION hit the air last night in the SF Bay Area. But, we really wanna take the campaign nationally. Seriously can't do it without you. (Yes, YOU.... reading this right now!)
please...
I know as always lot of you are reading this in a different part of the country or a different part of the world. (A guy from London sent $150 dollars already. It's amazing to see good people everywhere stepping up and giving a shit about something so important to us all.) If you need to catch up, you can read this article...

And, then you can actually read about and watch the TV ads we're talkin' about. All three are posted right here. Be sure to send the link to this website to all your friends and family all aroiund the world to keep this snowball rollin'.

commercials I'm talkin' about.
And for anybody who has absolutely no idea how this whole thing got started, here's the video that I made around the original song. This is the thing that inspired this whole campaign. Look, sometimes it just takes a simple thought and then a simple song to get a fire going. It's happened before. We can make it happen again.... today. I was just lucky to be in the same room when this song wanted to be written.

Okay, so...
What's goin' on here in town this weekend?
Well, TONIGHT!
Head down to The Village. Head all the way down to the end of Christopher Street and out onto Pier 45 on the Hudson River. Tonight's installment of the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series is solely to raise money to finance the national campaign to get those ads in every city and small town across the country. EVERY dollar... every nickel that winds up in that guitar case is going to be sent to Cynthia Papermaster to make this happen.
The music cranks up at 7:00 and my special guest sitting in tonight... Mr. Ryan Cavan.
I'm gonna keep at this "fund-raising " thing for a while, so get used to it. We really need every single one of you reading this right now to actually "show up", to take a moment to give a damn, to make it "cool to care", to send a few dollars... to actually step up to the plate.
Speaking of stepping up to the plate.

Okay Yankees! Nice job last night!
Moving on...
Then...
TOMORROW
Back in Central Park. But, we're not gonna be hangin' out at the usual spot.... the place I affectionately call "The Hill" after playing there for 18 years. Tomorrow I'll be singing in an area of the park called Cherry Hill. A location I like to call ""The Away Game".
DON'T WORRY! I made a map for you to print out so it will be easy for you guys to get there!

I played there years ago. It's a great location with plenty of sunshine, and you guys will really, really enjoy the view.
See you out there.
But as always, check in here first if the weather's lookin' shaky.
Good?
Okay. See you at The Pier tonight or in the park tomorrow.
And, if you're NOT here in NYC, I'll see you back here tomorrow and every day next week with new updates.
Thanks for everything.

PEACE

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
