Hey guys...

I might have some bad news about this weekend.

Seems we can't get a Special Events Permit for this coming Saturday afternoon.

I'm gonna see what can be done about heading out there on Sunday. So, keep coming back here and I'll let you know what happens.

Uy!

I'll tell you... I'm havin' one of those days today. Gettin' a little antsy. Gettin' a little... I don't know. Kinda waiting for the next perfectly explainable, completely practical miracle.

I'm getting the feeling it's gonna hafta come with help from you guys. Listen, I'm gonna do some more work on the new CD today. I'm gonna do my best to make it available for all of you as soon as I can. (But, it's gotta be done right.) So, I'll spend today workin' on that among other things.

And, next week I'm sure I'm gonna get back to posting some fun stuff about the Yankees, Fred Astaire, laughing babies, New York City and Life in general.

But, today.... I really need all of you to care. I really need to ask all of you reading this to watch that video again and leave a thoughtful comment, no matter how brief, on the YouTube page. My friends and colleagues an I worked so hard on the song and video for the new song "Resolution" and the purpose is to raise the level of discourse in this country around the issue of torture, decency, principle and justice.

Y'know?

What's happened to us?

Remember all of this?

Well...

It's up to you, y'know?

I need your help.

Would you take a minute right this minute, and watch this video? Then do me a favor. (I ask this sincerely and you guys know that over the course of a year, I don't generally ask for much.)

Watch the video, listen to the song then take a minute, make the slight effort to go to YouTube and leave a comment about the song, about the video, and your honest thoughts and feelings about the issue they address.

Okay?

YOUR COMMENTS

I'm really serious. Y'know? If I was smart business man, you guys would hafta wait until this brand new song is released on the new CD next month. But, this is about something more important than selling CDs. This is about taking a few moments in a Life to do what's right. (It actually feels really good to make the effort. It's just one of those little self-esteem-building things that doesn't take a whole lot of time.) The point of the song is to raise the level of dialogue, national discourse and awareness about torture in our name... yours and mine.

So, leave a comment. Be heard. Trust me.... you'll feel Good that you did for the rest of the day today.

See you guys here at the site all week with anew update every day! If you're new around here, or if you're checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world, take a few minutes (or hours) to browse through the ARCHIVE. Lotsa cool shit in there.

.

Thanks for everything.

.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
