Well.... there was no update here at the website yesterday.
Sorry.
If you're a regular here, you know I VERY rarely miss a day. But, yesterday was the exception. (I'll explain in a minute) I'll also fill you in on where and when I'll be sharing music and laughs with a few thousand of my closest friends this weekend.
BUT FIRST! Wanna welcome all of you checking in here from different parts of the country and different parts pf the world. Chances are you've already spent at least one afternoon hangin' out with me in Central Park, so.... thanks!
Before I get to anything else, I should probably tell you that the reason there was no update yesterday is that I just got finished spending nearly 48 hours shooting and editing the video for one of the new songs from the soon-to-be released and yet-to-be-named CD.
"Resolution"
Now, this upcoming CD is filled with some really fun songs, some love songs and some uplifting songs. But, I'd really like to know how this song and video make you feel and I'd like to know what you think about the subject of the song.
First click on this image to watch the video. (Be sure to watch it 'til the very last frame. There are some credits that shouldn't be missed.)
.
Then...
Click on this link to leave a comment at the YouTube page for everyone to read.
I'm really serious. The point of the song is to raise the level of dialogue, national discourse and awareness about torture in our name... yours and mine.
So, leave a comment. Be heard.

Now, back to the fun! For all of you here in New York City this weekend, I can tell you about the gigs I'm playing around town.
Tonight I'm supposed to be heading back down to the Village, back down to the end of Pier 45 at the end of Christopher Street for the next installment of the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series. That's where we play the Sun down from 7:00 to 9:00.
Very cool.
BUT... it looks like there might be some weather heading our way this evening... some rain that might arrive just in time to wash us out. I don't know. Maybe we'll get it in.
Check back here around 5:00 and I'll let you know if it's a "GO".
Then TOMORROW... oh man!!! I am soooooo looking forward to putting my guitar on my shoulder and heading back out to "The Hill" in Central Park where I belong. It's the place in New York City that most feels like home to me. If you're gonna be in town, please come and hang with me.
I'm really so lookin' forward to hangin' with all of you in Central Park on Saturday afternoon. Hope I see you there.
Thanks for everything.
.
PEACE

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
