Hey! Welcome to the website!

If you're checking in here from a different part of the country or a different part of the world... welcome to New York!

You people who are here in town, and will be here this coming Friday night and Saturday... I hope I see you at either the downtown gig on Friday or in Central Park this Saturday afternoon.

Today, I've gotta say... don't you love those days when everything is clickin'?

Y'know? Those days that you feel like you're riding the perfect wave. Those days when everything is in sync, all of the cosmic tumblers keep clicking into place and the Universe just keeps opening itself up to the next thing that's just gonna work out.

Those days when every single thing seems to go smoothly.

For me... yesterday was NOT that day.

Yesterday was.... um... the opposite of one of those days.

.

Until I got into the studio last night to lay down the final track on the new album.

Y'know what? Check back here in a little while and 'll see if I can post a sample of the song "Did You Fall in Love Again" and give you a better update on the new CD. Last night, after the session was over I was able to say...

THAT'S A WRAP!

Now, if I was a drinkin' man I'd have a glass of champagne today. Or if I was a smoker, I'd light up a cigar.

But, I don't drink and I think cigars are fuckin' vile. So, I guess it's an iced coffee on a bench in Central Park and big ol' comfortable, satisfied smile.

Hey listen... I ill be back with a more complete update. But definitely stay tuned and start getting fired up about the tidal wave of news coming out supporting my feelings that the Bush administration was in fact the most wholly unAmerican and criminal administration in this nation's history.... certainly in my lifetime. And, do me a favor....

GET mad.

Get fire up. The spiritually bankrupt people invaded a country, are responsible for nearly twice the number of American deaths than Osama Bin Laden. (Remember him?) They have thrown principle and civility out the window, broken the same laws we all have to abide by, and tortured fellow human man beings in my name... and I'm pissed.

Do me a favor.

Listen to this song. Download it for FREE. And then pass it on to as many people as you can today. DO IT TODAY!!!!

I would urge you to be a part of something important today by taking just a few minute to do something more than talking or complaining or watching "Dancing With the Stars"! Spend just a few minutes today sending this song to EVERYBODY you know.... and sending the link to this website to EVERYBODY you know - or send it to your favorite blog or news organization.... or send it to your representatives in Washington.

Here's the song.

Okay listen...

I'll be back with a more complete update. Just gotta get to work on the video for this song.

But remember, FRIDAY night, it's back down to the Village, back down to the end of Pier 45 at the end of Christopher street for the next installment of the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series. That's where we play the Sun down from 7:00 to 9:00.

Very cool.

Then SATURDAY... oh man!!! I am soooooo looking forward to Saturday! I'm putting my guitar on my shoulder and heading back out to "The Hill" in Central Park where I belong. It's the place in New York City that most feels like home to me. If you're gonna be in town, please come and hang with me.

I'm really so lookin' forward to hangin' with all of you in Central Park on Saturday afternoon. Hope I see you there.

Thanks for everything.

.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
