Y'know what?
Man! We're already halfway through this lap around the Sun we're calling 2009.
Man! It flies, hah? That's why it really, really is so important to make the very most of every single day. Do what you can. Learn what you can. Grab every chance for a new experience.
Me?
I have so much to do. I'll let you guys in on the progress of the new CD. (It's really comin' along.) And, I'll be right back with the schedule and location for our gigs in Central Park.

Couple of new things around here today. Well, for one thing I see that the webmaster, James Marino, hads posted a link so you guys can do this new FACEBOOK thing with me. It''s not the other FaceBook page that I've got. So if you're connected to that one, join this one as well, okay? It's called a "fan" page... but I prefer to think of it as "the people who hang out with me" page. (It's over there on the right, near the link if you wanna start following me on TWITTER.)
Um... now here's something kinda special.
This is for anyone who has been hanging out, sharing music and laughs with me on "The Hill" for any length of time. Y'see, this guy's has been coming there since day ONE.

"Some have been there from the start...."
John MacAlinden was a friend or at least familiar friendly face to many, many people in the hill. He died two Sunday's ago on the anniversary of the very first day I became "That Guitar Man from Central Park", which is also the day I first met John.
TOMORROW his family is having a little gathering to celebrate his Life, his love of people, his love of Central Park... a gathering to celebrate John. It will be on the east side of the park at the East 90th Street entrance near the reservoir at about 7:15pm.

Okay.... moving on.
You guys know that I write songs about Life, about Love, about... us. Sometimes I write a song just to try to make someone laugh.
But, I rarely get to choose the next song I want to write. I just have to write the next song that wants to be written.
Here's the song I wish I didn't have to write:

I need you to feel a little passion, and then translate that passion into just a little action. Seriously, it's been said a million different ways. "Actions speak louder than words" - "Faith without works is dead" - "Want a better world, get off your ass and do something" - (Okay I just made that last one up.)
But, in this case you don't even hafta get up. You can do something by using your imagination and your computer. Send the song to EVERYONE!
Later this week... gonna let you guys know what's going on with the survey, "Name the CD".
NAME THE CD
The chore of picking the name for the new CD is gonna fall to you guys this year.
I'll give you a choice of 5 titles that I'm thinking of, and you can choose from them. I'll also give you the list of the tracks that are gonna be on the album. You can pick one of the songs to be the title track. OR... you can write in a suggestion of your own.... something you feel the CD should be named.

If you're new around here, or if you're checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world, take a few minutes (or hours) to browse through the ARCHIVE. Lotsa cool shit in there.
Okay, gotta get back to work.
Thanks for everything.
