Hey guys... tomorrow is lookin' like it's gonna be a perfect day to hang out in Central Park... share some music and some laughs in the middle of the greatest city in the world.

Got a couple of cool announcements here today... one is about the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series that was supposed to kick off tonight. Y'know... my old friend and new nemesis, Stephen Colbert, has been secretly coming out to "The Hill" over the years. Maybe he'll pop up down in The Village, too!

But not tonight!

I know a lot of you are reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. But, here in New York City.... it's been raining all day and the satellite imagery looks even worse. So, tonight's gig is CANCELED.

Tomorrow in Central Park, though!!!!

Gonna be GOLDEN!

Hope I see you out there.

Y'know?

There's so much to say.

I love writing songs and singin' 'em for people. I love putting my thoughts and my feelings into song and just lettin' it rip out there.

I really dig writing songs that sometimes "comfort the disturbed... and disturb the comfortable." Just because the Bush administration belongs to history now, that doesn't mean people and artists who care should stop "paying attention".

And, you all know how I consider "The Hill" in Central Park to be kind of a home.

BUT... tonight we were supposed to re-start another gig that has become a tradition - - a really cool way to get the fun and the music and the message to the-below-14th-street-crowd.

But look out the window!

TONIGHT'S GIG ON PIER 45 IS CANCELED!

So, we'll just hafta kick it off next weekend.

Okay... I say this all the time, but it's true - - I'm the luckiest man alive.

And so, I very often try to make a few songs down-loadable for FREE.

Here are a few - a love song, a couple with social consciousness, and... something just for fun.

ANOTHER 15 YEARS

WHERE'S THE VOICE

THE RELIGION SONG

TOM CRUISE SCARES ME

I promised myself I'm gonna start playing more original songs out in the park. I get email after email during the week from people asking why I don't play this song or that song. I'm gonna try to remember to get to more of them this weekend.

Okay... gotta get back to work.

I'll be back here tomorrow with another update.

Thanks for showing up here today. The weather's looking good for another SWELL day in Central Park tomorrow!

Thanks for everything.

.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
