Got a little rain goin' on over the last couple of days. But, I'm thinkin' we're gonna have a beautiful day in Central Park this coming Saturday.
If you're in town, come on out and hang with me for a while.
I guess most of you reading this have been out in the park with me before. You might even see yourself in some of the videos. If you do, send the link to your friends and family across the country and around the world. Let them in on your weekend in New York City.

I very often say, "Y'know? If somebody described to me what I do in Central Park, I probably wouldn't go. Y'know, 'There's a singer/songwriter by the Lake with a guitar who sings his own songs and some cover tunes all day'. I'd probably think to myself, 'Yeah.... um... that sounds.... uh.... great. But no thanks'. "
But if you've never been there, I hafta tell you.... every single weekend turns into something very cool. Who knows? One of these weekends we mnight even get a visit from my old friend and new nemesis, Stephen Colbert. (I hear he's gonna be editing the June 8th edition of NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE... oh brother!)
I say this all the time, but it's true.... I'm the luckiest man alive.
And so, I very often try to make a few songs downloadable for FREE.
Here are a few - a love song, a couple with social consciousness, and... something just for fun.
I promised myself I'm gonna start playing more original songs out in the park. I get email after email during the week from people asking why I don't play this song or that song. I'm gonna try to remember to get to more of them this weekend.
Okay... gotta get back to work.
I'll be back here tomorrow with another update.
Thanks for showing up here today. The weather's looking good for another SWELL day in Central Park this coming Saturday!
Thanks for everything.
.
PEACE

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
