Oh please...
GET ME BACK OUT TO "THE HILL"!!!
Holy mackerel! The month of June has been one of the most complete washouts in all the time I've been "That Guitar Man from Central Park". But, the sun is shining and I'm gonna put my guitar on my shoulder and head out there today.
I know there are people reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. But, if you're reading this today and you're here in New York City, please head out there and hang out with me today. I really need to see all of your shining faces.

Feels like "home". I'm sure today I'll be sharin' some stories and some thoughts about my trip to Washington D.C. this past Thursday.
Because we got rained out again last night at the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert, I had a chance to watch the first game of the Yankees and Mets in their subway series. Yankees took the first. The next two games are both night games, so I can catch some or all of both. Kinda cool.
It's an oasis from the "all-michael-jackson-all-the-time" news cycle.
Hey.... it's so sad that poor, unfortunate man died so young. I personally feel he was magnificently talented tragedy. But, y'know who doesn't really care that Michael Jackson died on Thursday?
The families of the 10 more Americans who've died in Iraq this month... 2 more yesterday.
Just a thought.
Okay... Ah! Gonna get my guitar on my shoulder and hang with you guys today, far from a TV screen!
Then TOMORROW... another opportunity to use my music and presence for something that really matters. And... I'm going to be sharing a stage for the first time in my life with a man I feel is truly both an American hero and a music legend... Mr. Pete Seeger. I'll be appearing at:
New York City's First Annual Water Festival
Featuring Pete Seeger and friends.

Okay, is that enough for you!?
Alright, I gotta get to work gettin' ready for all of these events. It's all very cool.
But, I'm really so lookin' forward to hangin' with all of you in Central Park TODAY. Hope I see you there.
Nice to be "home".
Thanks for everything.

PEACE
