Hey... got a new video of what's gettin' to be an old favorite here on the website today.

It's an acoustic, LIVE version of the song "Crazy on the Same Day" caught on video this past Saturday on "The Hill" in Central Park.

We had a pretty great day out there.

Y'know, except for... that gaggle-like, cocktail party picnic made up of me-generation yuppie types who had no respect for the nice people around them and wouldn't shut up a good part of the day.

I'll tell you... after they left and we got into the "sweet part of the afternoon", it turned into on of those golden afternoons I talk about when I try to explain how lucky I feel to do what I do with my music and my Life.

Today here in New York.... rainy, dreary, stormy later on. But, I'm gonna be back in the studio to work on the new album.

TOMORROW NIGHT... we kick off the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series down in the Village. (More about that in a minute.)

Right now, here's that video.

Thanks to Laura Manske for shootin' this thing.

Okay for this Saturday... the people over in the Permit Office at the Parks Department didn't issue a permit for this Saturday afternoon. (I think it's the ol' stuff about the weddings that take place out on that little peninsula at Hernshead. But, whatever. It's not worth getting pissed off about.) I'm a very lucky man to have been playing music for you guys in that park for as long as I have and I never forget that.

But, yes! We do have the paperwork for the next 2 Saturday afternoons. Okay? So, we'll just all hafta hang out tomorrow night on the Pier, and then wait a week to head back to Central Park.

The Pier?

Yeah, Pier 45. I will be starting off this year's "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series down in The Village on Friday night!

That's a very, very cool... very New York way to kick off a weekend if you're staying in town. I play the Sun down from 7:00 to 9:00pm as it sets over New Jersey. Like just about everything else I do, it's FREE.

If you're not doing anything and you need to get that fix of that "It's Just Us" feeling, head down to Pier 45 at the very end of Christopher Street. Bring a blanket and hang out with the below-fourteenth-street-crowd.

.

Okay, I gotta get cookin' here.

I think you guys are really gonna dig the new CD. songs that you've already started to request out in the park have ade the cut and are goin' into the collection. Any Other Way, Keep Hope Alive, Tom Cruise Scares Me... and a really kickin' track that doesn't have a title yet! (I'm thinkin' about calling it either "The Torture Song" or "Are You Listening Liz Cheney".

Wanna make some noise with that one. Wanna stir the nest a little.

See you guys tomorrow night.

Thanks for everything.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
