Hey welcome to the website.

FIRST UP!!!

I'm so sorry. But, we're gettin' rained out.... AGAIN!

Tonight's "Sunset on the Hudson" concert has been canceled because.... well... it's lookin' more like "Violent Thunderstorms on the Hudson"

Hope I see you in Central Park tomorrow. THAT'S lookin' good!

So, what the hell!!!

I leave town for a day! And, somebody starts to kill off the 70's!?

Oh man! Two... well, I guess there's no other way to put it... two pop- icons of the 70s and 80s, gone in one day.

.
Yes, I had this poster hanging in my bedroom....... And yes, I blasted "Billie Jean" in my car.

Well, I'm not gonna add any more to the 24/7 news cycle these two are going to monopolize.

But, I have one questions for you before I continue with today's update.

With the passing of these two celebrities in one day, who's the most relieved man in America today?

Moving on.

I'm back home in New York City after an amazing, inspiring day in the nation's capital. I will tell you guys all about it all next week. I can tell you this... I was there becasue some of the organizers asked me t make the trip to sing this brand new song.

I wasn't disappointed that it wasn't a "Forrest Gump at the Monument" moment.

Seriously. It was a tiny group of very passionate, dedicated, informed and caring people. But, I always remember what Margaret Mead once said:

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

But, I'm back in NYC where I am "That Guitar Man from Central Park".

Tomorrow we all head back out to Central Park to hang together and share another afternoon of music and laughs. I'll update this website tomorrow morning to let you know how it's lookin'. I'm sure I'll be sharin' some stories about yesterday's event in D.C.

THEN... a kind of a dream come true for me.

On Sunday, another cause. Another opportunity to use my music and presence for something that really matters. And... I'm going to be sharing a stage for the first time in my life with a man I feel is truly both an American hero and a music legend... Mr. Pete Seeger. I'll be appearing at:

New York City's First Annual Water Festival

Featuring Pete Seeger and friends.

Okay, is that enough for you!?

Alright, I gotta get to work gettin' ready for all of these events. It's all very cool.

But, I'm really so lookin' forward to hangin' with all of you in Central Park on Saturday afternoon. hope I see you there.

Thanks for everything.

.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
