Well, we'll see what happens today. Man! We seem to be getting an awfully slow start to the season in Central Park. BUT.... that happens some years.
Today?
The way it's lookin' right at this moment, I think I'm gonna head to the park around noon. I have a feeling we're gonna see the Sun again for most of the time we wanna be hangin' out at "The Hill".
Bring something to sit on if the grass is wet.
The sun came out last week just when we needed it to in Central Park. It was lookin' shaky but we all headed out there for the first day of the season. Turned out, it was very cool.
This was a moment was captured by a woman named Betty who was sitting way over on the rock by The Lake. Just before I cranked up a song by Jason Mraz I mentioned that it was a song that just made you wanna skip! Then I asked people about the last time they remembered skipping. Kinda cool. Then I got into the song and wouldn't y'know it.... this cool dude jumps up in the middle of the tune and skips past the crowd.
So Bettywho writes a travel blog happened to be catching the this moment on video. This week I got an email from her here at the website, pointing my at her YouTube video channel and blog.
So, through the f*#!k-ing wonder of technology.... that moment from "Opening Day" this past Saturday!
This is gonna be a wonderful summer out there on "The Hill" I can feel it.
There's a lot to say, there's a lot to sing about. There's a real need for people to get back to the simplest joys in this Life. For me, hangin' out with people from all 5 boroughs of this town, all 50 states and different countries from around the world... sharing thoughts, music and laughs.... man! This is gonna be a great summer.
Besides, sweet people of Reason who don't live fear-based lives need to look around and recognize that we're not alone, no matter what we see on television!!!!
Here... check out this video. Click on this image to check out a song dedicated to the man I now call the "Patriotic Pillsbury Doughboy of Democracy"....

Oh yeah and....
Make sure, if you go to YOUTUBE and watch the video spawned from my "Feud with Stephen Colbert", make sure you leave a comment. I love reading those things!
Hope we get lucky and I see you in Central Park today!
If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to someone a while ago that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.
Thanks for everything.
PEACE

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
