Hey... welcome to the website. Sorry for the late update. Got a lot goin' on.
But first, her we are again. Keep your fingers crossed for the weather this Saturday. (I personally think the weather's gonna finally clear by then and we're gonna have a beautiful day in Central Park.
But, we'll see.
I actually got into the studio last night to begin work on this year's CD.
Some of the original tracks that will be on it I've already played in the park and in concert.... Merkin Concert Hall and other places. Some are brand new and only one or two people have heard them. But, I'm thinking about doing a few cover songs as well.... just me and the guitar. I'm gonna lay some tracks down and see how they turn out.
Y'know what?
Let me run one possibility by you guyys today. This song might make it onto the album. It's a song that I sang for the very first time ever "Opening Day" on "The Hill" this past Saturday. It was written ometime before 1982, but I had a feeling the time might be right for this lyric to surface, especially among Good-hearted people of Reason who "get it".
Click on these links and let me know what you think of these silly things!
And make sure, if you go to YOUTUBE and watch the video spawned from my "Feud with Stephen Colbert", make sure you leave a comment. I love reading those things!
Click on this image to check out a song dedicated to the man I now call the "Patriotic Pillsbury Doughboy of Democracy"....
Okay... thanks again to everyone who showed up for "Opening Day" last Saturday in Central Park. Hopefully I'll see you Saturday at "The Hill".
If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to someone a while ago that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.
Thanks for everything.
PEACE
All outdoor events are weather permitting! Stop by the website before you go if it is questionable.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
