Okay... everybody scream!
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
.
.
How'd that feel?
Good.
Another beautiful day here in NYC!
Okay let's get on with the update.
First, I wanna welcome everyone checking in here from different parts of the country and different parts of the world, and I gotta say thank you again to all of you here in town who've already come out to Central Park to hang with me this year. Believe me, we haven't even really gotten started yet. It's gonna be a fun year out there.

I'm currently working hard on getting a new CD out to you guys as soon as I possibly can. With everything that's going on in America today, we're gonna have an awful lot to sing about this year.
And because everyday technology is making the world so small in so many very cool ways, I'm gonna ask all of you to start sending your photos and videos from Central Park in to the website. I'll try to publish as many as I can. We'll have some fun with it all year.
Like... there's a guy named Sean Friedman who's always sending photos that we use here along with several others. And there's a new friend named Vagabond Betty who writes a travel blog and shoots parts of the day from waaaaaayyyy the hell over on that uptown rock!
Here's a photo she shot just this past Saturday afternoon. Some cool little details about this photo.

Click on the image for a closer look.
Well, first of all... this came after we were all havin' fun with the cluster of rowboaters who pulled up to hang out with us. (Notice that I forgot to turn the speaker on that stand back to face the crowd! Bonehead!)
Next... y'see that guy in the brown shirt and the headset? His name is James and he's helping Dean Love shoot the independent film about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". You'll probably be seeing a lot of him this summer. Say, "Hi".
Next up... y'see that guy in the hat with his hand on his chin way back near the benches? His name is John MacAlinden. He' a really good guy. But more than that, he's one of the good people referenced in my song "The People on the Hill" in the line that says, "Some have been here from the start..." He's the young man who, in the original article by Jack Rosenthal of the New York Times, who leans on the lamp post and sings every word to every song.
Also... y'see that temporary fencing waaaayyy in the background? Well, The Parks Department will be renovating and restoring the shore of The Lake all the way around. So.... we're next. (That's why we'll be moving to the hill I call the away game for July and August. More about that in weeks to come.)
Oh... and, I'm assuming those sneakers in the foreground are VAGABOND BETTY. (Don;t know. Never met her.)
If you're new around here, be sure to check out these videos and feel free to leave a comment of you like.

Okay, one more photo sent in by a woman named Mary.

Great, really sweet moment for me.
Hey parents? When you come out to the hill, please be cool and actually be parents, okay? (More about that in the weeks to come.)
See you all out in Central Park really soon.
Thanks for everything.
