Hey welcome to the website!

This is gonna be a fun week around here. If you're new around here, hit the Archive and catch up. Couple of fun updates this weekend, too.

And listen... I recently asked a whole bunch of people to join my "fan" site on FaceBook. (I don't generally like to use the word "fan". I'd rather just say "friends" or people who hang with me.)

BUT... there's a reason for the site. So, if you haven't done it, would you go there now and join it!?

Thanks!

Oh man! You guys are gonna love this new CD. (Whenever I get it finished and available.)

Was in the studio last night with my buddy, Ryan Cavan. He's the amazingly cool drummer you guys were introduced to at the "Year-End Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall. I'm hoping you'll be seeing a lot of Ryan out at "the Hill" in Central Park this summer , too.

Okay...

Now, it's time for a big... "Oh well".

Y'know, a few years back when it became clear that Yankee Stadium was gonna be torn down, a few different thoughts went through my head right away. "I'm sure that the new stadium is gonna a be geared to corporate sales and the wealthy." I was right. The feeling so far of class distinction is palpable in the new stadium as evidenced by all of the "sold" but completely empty seats behind the plate and at field level. (The poor-people-sections in the tiers are always jammed packed with real baseball fans who are prohibited from getting anywhere near the field.)

The second thought was... "I would really love to hold onto a piece of all the great, great memories I've shared with friends and family up at The House the Ruth Built. Even though 'things' and 'stuff-from-the past' are not really that important to me, I would love to be able to buy a seat from the old stadium before they tear it down."

Well, they released the prices on Yankees.com.

HOLY SHIT!

A pair of seats? $1500

A single seat?

.

$750 (That's like, over $800 after delivery!!!)

HA! I guess it ain't happenin' in this lifetime.

No big deal. Not really important. But, it is kind of a shame. And just a little more evidence of a second Gilded Age in this country.

Okay, that's enough outta me for today. I'll be back tomorrow with another new update.

Thanks for everything. If you're new around here, be sure to check out these videos and feel free to leave a comment of you like.

GLENN BECK SCARES ME

BILL O'REILLY: The Legend of the Big giant Head

Oh, one more...

STEPHEN COLBERT: Special Kind of Friendship

Okay, see you back here tomorrow with another update.

Also, if you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to someone a while ago that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Thanks for everything.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
