HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

All you women who are mothers.... have a sweet, sweet day today.

Yesterday... damn! We did it again.

Yeah, I know. I know. The weather wasn't perfect. We're gettin' off to a kind of slow start of the season. But still, with a guitar on my shoulder, a grassy hill in the middle of the greatest city on earth and all of you.... what a day! I really am the luckiest man alive.

And among so many wonderful artists who are trying do desperately to find ways of getting their music and their messages out there, I'm doubly lucky that all of you have made me "That Guitar Man from Central Park"

A little video from yesterday.

Okay... a VERY little video!

I know I promised that I would start putting video from each Saturday afternoon here on the site the following week. But I just got that little Flip camera and wasn't hitting the right button. (I also didn't have my glasses on!!!) So, I only grabbed one tiny, tiny piece of video from the very beginning of the day when it was still completely overcast and people were just getting there.

I'll get better next time.

BUT! CLICK ON THIS. (It'll give you an idea of what I'm goin' for.)

Okay don't laugh! I told you.... I didn't know how the f-#%cking camera worked! But, over the course of the summer you'll be able to send these video links to friends and family around the country and around the world to share your day in the park with them. It'll be cool. And if you see yourself in any of the video, hit this link and gimme a shout! I love making this city and world into a very small campus!

Here are some vids that are a little more complete and done a whole lot better. The first was born from my "Feud with Stephen Colbert" and th second is from a song I wrote about the man I now call "Patriotic Pillsbury Doughboy of Democracy"(Make sure you watch them through the credits at the end!)

Okay...

I'll be back with a new update every day this week.

Feel free to leave comments or hit the "Contact" button up there to shoot me an email. OR.... HIT THIS LINK TO LEAVE COMMENTS! Let me know what you think of these things. The comments I've received here at the website have been a blast so far!

Okay... Thanks again for yesterday. See you next week in the park.

If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to someone a while ago that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Thanks for everything.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
