Well... it's Saturday.

It's Springtime here in New York City.

I don't know how many people are gonna be heading out of town these days. I'm not sure there are gonna be as many trips to The Hamptons and The Poconos as there have been in other years. If you're staying in town....

...come and hang out with me today.

Maybe it's time to get back to the simpler things.

Y'know? Finding genuine good times and laughs... little joys right in your own backyard.

D'oh... speaking of "yards". Guess what.

For the first time since.... I don't actually remember when... the Yankees are back in first place where they belong. (I'm guessing that when I went up there to help them out with their swings.... it kinda paid off.)

Y'know? I just had another thought.

(Yeah, it happens.)

I'm just thinkin'... if you're reading this in the morning, chances are you're already planning to head out to Central Park with me. But, a lot of you are probably checking in here after the fact. Maybe you were out in Central Park with me today for the first time, and you just got home and decided, "Hmmmm. I'll go check out that guy's website."

Well... um... this is it.

Welcome.

Why don't you go ahead and bookmark it and check back here often. I update this site every day. there are usually some pretty cool things goin' on around here. And, make a point of hitting the Contact button and letting me know how you feel about things... the music, the political or social comments I make. Just make it a regular thing.

Go ahead and take some time soon to browse through the "Archive". Lotsa cool stuff in here... FREE songs to download (a lot of them that never made it onto a CD), cartoons, Photoshop images, music videos, videos from the park... all kindsa stuff.

LIKE HERE ARE A COUPLE OF VIDEOS FROM LAST WEEKEND!!!

Almost every weekend there are couple getting married near the location we call "The Hill". And almost every week, someone in the wedding party asks me to play something or say something to make the couple feel special. (Damn! They wouldn't be out there if they didn't wanna have a real New York City wedding!)

This weekend was a special one.

So cool.

Also decided on Saturday that it would be a cool thing to just go ahead and buy hot dogs for everybody on "The Hill". Y'know.... all of us who stayed in town for the holiday weekend. We had our own little Memorial Day picnic.

HOT DOG DAY!!!!

Okay...

See you back here tomorrow.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
