Okay, let me start out this short work week by first THANKING every single person who came out to Central Park this past Saturday.
Standing in the sunshine with my guitar on my shoulder 3 days ago, I absolutely meant it when I said, "Well, I started the season here in the beginning of May.... but, I feel like I just arrived."
This past weekend was DAY ONE!
Gotta also thank Nelson Nicholas of The Parks Department for giving us the option of getting the best day of the weekend to hang out together. This is gonna be a very cool season. You gotta love Central Park and you gotta love this town.
AND...
GOT ANOTHER VIDEO CLIP FOR YOU TODAY!!!
Almost every weekend there are couple getting married near the location we call "The Hill". And almost every week, someone in the wedding party asks me to play something or say something to make the couple feel special. (Damn! They wouldn't be out there if they didn't wanna have a real New York City wedding!)
This weekend was a special one.

So cool.
Also decided on Saturday that it would be a cool thing to just go ahead and buy hot dogs for everybody on "The Hill". Y'know.... all of us who stayed in town for the holiday weekend. We had our own little Memorial Day picnic.
WELL! There are a lot of new people here this week because so many new people signed up for the mailing list. If you're one of those newcomers, go ahead and hit the ARCHIVE and have a look around.
I was in the studio last night with George Wurzbach. He was laying down some piano tracks on the new CD.
Pretty soon, I'm gonna run a little survey to see what YOU think the new CD should be named. I'm gonna give you 5 choices... and the one most people think should be the title will be it.
That's coming up.
Okay, gotta get back to work. Heading back into the studio again tonight with George to run few more things.
Again, if you're new around here, be sure to check out these videos and feel free to leave a comment of you like.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
