All mixed up together in a great life if I pay attention and remain awake.

I'm working really hard on a brand new song today. Got the first music tracks down and now it's time to start "walkin' around" with a lyric-in-progress. (It's kind of my process these days.)

But.... first of all, WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE FOR ANOTHER DAY! One day closer to opening day out on "The Hill" by The Lake in Central Park.

First things first today. STEPHEN COLBERT didn't get the module on the International Space Station named after him! (Have to admit.... part of me feels sad about that.)

Instead. NASA said they would compromise and name a piece of equipment on the station after him. The treadmill is now called the "Combined Operational Load Bearing External Resistance Treadmill" -- that's C-O-L-B-E-R-T.

Today is April 15th.

Yep! It's another tax day.

I can't wait to start singing and laughing with you guys.

We've gotta take care of each other, hah?

I don't mind paying taxes. It's part of our responsibility to each other. But, still... it makes me wonder when the people of this country are gonna start paying attention.

For example, while we're all finally catching up on the fact that when a percentage of people who operate in a FREE MARKET economy are not regulated like unruly, selfish children (They tend to be Republicans these days)... they tend to do really sucky, greedy things under the rationale.... "It's just business".

Yeah.... some people just suck.

But, on top of that - while nearly all of our laughable American "news" media is focusing on the economy and any catastrophe, house fire, car chase or flood of which they can get a clip of intriguing video, did you know...

Did you notice that...

It must be.

Since it's bad for rating to talk about it anymore, it must be over. I mean, it's like... it's sooooo "last year"!

Of course, don't tell the families of the 10 more American soldiers who died there in the first 14 days of this month. Go back to complaining about your taxes. And don't tell the families of the 4,273 and counting who've died there so far. Let's watch another story about Bernie Madoff. And for the love of anything holy, don't tell the 296 Iraqi men women and children who've been killed just since the beginning of March!)

Of course, I'm badly mistaken when I say "The war is over. By any reasonable definition, it NEVER was a war... but rather an invasion an subsequent occupation with no pretty or successful exit in sight.

so, what the hell.

Let's get back to watching "Dancing with the Stars" and Nancy Pelosi doing the talk show circuit trying to sell her book now that it's finally in paperback!

Hey listen, as much as I detest people in our government and in the world's financial institutions who've abandon all character and traded decency for a dollar... I wouldn't trade places with another human being on the face of the earth. When I say...

I can't wait to hang out with all of you in Central Park this year. We're gonna have an awful lot to sing about this year.
