Man! Two days of dreary, windy, cold rain here in New York City.

Good days to stay inside and work. I'm laying down the tracks to a brand new song.... kind of a sequel to "The People on the Hill". Maybe it's not so much of a sequel as it is an.... maybe an update.

I don't know what you'd call it, except that like "The People...", it's a song written for and about my feelings about all of you, and how lucky I feel to be doing what I do every summer.

Listen, I'm gonna be back later today with a more complete update. I've got a bunch of stuff to work on and I'd better get to it. I wanna tweak this new song and get it into the kind of shape where I can post it here and let you guys in on another one of those works-in-progress.

I also have about 2 dozen Photoshop images to create for another, totally ridiculous project that I'm up to my ass in.

I also have another song to write.... it's actually just lyric work because it has t do with already existing and way-overplayed tune "Tom Cruise Scares Me".

(This is for something completely different.)

Anyway, I'll be back later.

But hey! If you're new around here... I hope I see you out in Central Park this year. We're scheduled for opening day in less than 2 weeks.

OPENING DAY!

SATURDAY, MAY 2

Wanna really feel like a part of it all this year? You can be... in a VERY real way! Wanna help out with this year's Permit Fund? (But ONLY if you can afford it.)

Here's the link if you wanna contribute.

This weekend, I had Jim Caruso come over and record the new song I wrote in honor of my "Feud with Stephen Colbert". I was gonna make it available today as a free download.... but, decided I'd wait until we shoot the video that's gonna accompany the track. I hope to get it done this week.

You wanna be in a movie!?

Seriously. If you come and hangout with me all this summer in Central Park, you're probably gonna be a part of a film that's being made this year about... um... about... uh...

me.

And, about what I've been doing with all of you at "The Hill" for the past 18 years.

The filmmaker, Dean Love, is gonna be shooting everything we do out there. So, call a few friends and make plans to join us on Saturday, May 2 to kick off the summer.

I can't wait to hang out with all of you in Central Park this year. We're gonna have an awful lot to sing about this year.

If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to someone a while ago that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Alright, if you're in town I hope I see you guys out on the hill.

In the meantime, I'll be back here tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
