Well, the rotten weather we've been dealing with in the Big Apple for the last 3 days has finally headed out of town. In fact, it's lookin' like winter is long gone!

Well... I'm right behind it. Headin' out of town today to help the man I call "Pop" load a truck. I'll be back in town tonight.

But... GET OUT YOUR SHORTS! GET OUT YOUR T-SHIRTS!

This coming weekend is looking like it's gonna be a picture perfect weekend to hang out on "The Hill" and share some music and laughs.

Unfortunately, the first Special Events Permit doesn't come through until the first weekend in MAY. One week from this Saturday.

OPENING DAY!

SATURDAY, MAY 2

And it will be at "The Hill". (The same place we've been hangin' out for all these years.) Again, if you're new around here, here's a little map.

There is just sooooooo much goin' on around here. Keep checking back everyday.

The new song and accompanying music video about my "Feud with Stephen Colbert" will be here soon. Maybe as soon as next week!!! (Here's an old "art shot" we took back in better days.)

For a larger gallery, click on this link.

This year, I'm also bringing a whole bunch of new songs to "The Hill", as well as a whole bunch of new old songs.

Hey listen, if you have any songs or artists you think i should be paying out there by The Lake hit the Contact button over there and gimme a shout.

AND!

You wanna be in a movie!?

Seriously. If you come and hangout with me all this summer in Central Park, you're probably gonna be a part of a film that's being made this year about... um... about... uh...

me.

And, about what I've been doing with all of you at "The Hill" for the past 18 years.

The filmmaker, Dean Love, is gonna be shooting everything we do out there. So, call a few friends and make plans to join us on Saturday, May 2 to kick off the summer.

I can't wait to hang out with all of you in Central Park this year. We're gonna have an awful lot to sing about this year.

If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to someone a while ago that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Alright, if you're in town I hope I see you guys out on the hill.

In the meantime, I'll be back here tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
