Hey, welcome to the website.

Sorry there was no update yesterday. I was up at 4am yesterday and outta town early to help the man I call "Pop" move to a new apartment.

I call him "Pop" because... um... well... because he's my father.

I guess you guys have noticed that, besides being a "possibility-junkie", I've also become somewhat of a Photoshop-junkie. Well, a little while back I created a kind of "Field of Dreams" image for myself.

That's Joe at 17 on the left.

Back before he was in the Navy, back before he met my Mom, back before he became a New York City Firefighter... back when he had no idea that one of his kid's would become "That Guitar Man from Central Park", he was an East Side New York kid.

Kinda cool.

Hey! I'm gettin' ready to head back out there.... hopefully on Saturday, May 2. I know a lot of you have been emailing the website to ask when the season will begin. I will announce it as soon as I get the first round of paperwork from the Permit Office at the Parks Department.

Y'know, I'm gonna keep this short today. I'll be back with another update tomorrow. (And, maybe we'll resume the "Feud with Stephen Colbert". (Click on this link to catch up.)

And for anyone who missed it, here's a quick re-post of the moment that cause me just a little bit of trouble when I met Queen Elizabeth II of England.

Okay... I'm outta here. Got a song to finish.

If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Alright, if you're in town I hope I see you guys out on the hill starting in May.

In the meantime, I'll be back here tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
