Well... yeah.

President Obama is over in England. (Okay, I haven't been to England. But... I've been to Jersey.)

Still in the spirit of global cooperation, I did my last gig in this ridiculous outfit.

(I'll bet COLBERT has never showed that kind of solidarity with our old friends.)

Ah, England. Brought us The Beatles and The Stones.

And, I remember in the first year of the illegal, immoral, historically ignorant and colossally stupid invasion of Iraq... (the same disgraceful action that the people of the UK were lied into) ...I gained an enormous amount of respect for at least one British soldier when I saw this photo.

Closer to home.

4 weekends away.

We'll be out in Central Park to begin another season soon. Gonna be a blast.

There are so many reasons I'm jazzed to be heading back out there with my guitar this season. For one thing, I really have a feeling people are gonna need to relax and get back to the simple things... hangin' out in our own little backyard in the middle of the crossroads of the world - New York City. I think we're all gonna need to hang and laugh. I think we're all gonna need each other's company.

And, it's the first year that the machine behind George W. Bush is not operating in the Oval Office behind that dangerous, intellectually challenged frat-boy. That's gonna feel different. that's gonna feel... Good.

Still, guys like me still have a lot to write about and sing about.

And... we'll see if Stephen Colbert finally has the balls to come out to "The Hill".

If you're new around here and you have NO idea what this whole "Feud with Colbert" is about, you can hit the "Archive" and catch up.

In fact, here's a direct link to some of the past images from the "Feud". (I'm still workin' on the song!!!)

Okay, outta here.

See you TOMORROW!

Thanks for everything

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
