Okay.... so we lost an hour last night.

BUT, when you push the clock ahead one hour it's like pushing the Sun back in the sky one hour. And I don't know where in the country or in the world you happen to be reading this, but here in New York City it's kinda feeling a little bit like Spring today. Won't be all that long until we're all hangin' out in Central Park by The Lake.

Of course, we'll hafta wait for the permits to start coming in from the Parks Department. That won't happen until May at the very earliest.

So, once again... this is a very lean time of year for me. (Not that I mind all that much. I love my Life and my work. And like my new song says, I wouldn't have it "any other way".)

BUT... that also means it's time for the PERMIT FUND '09

Now look, if you've been coming around here and you're one of "The People on the Hill", you know what all this is about. You know I always welcome your help. You can just hit that button over there on the right of this page, or you can click on this link.

BUT if you're kinda new around here, or you're feeling a little shaky about the economy, I have a...

SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR YOU THIS YEAR

Just that time of year.

But if it's not something you can do, or it's not something you feel like doing.... like I said, don't even think twice, okay?

Cool.

.

Okay.... back to our regularly scheduled program!

I guess if you've been following this website for the past few weeks, since the "Return to Merkin Hall" concert of February 26th... you know that I haven't been speaking to Stephen Colbert.

Well, today I just decided to post a little gallery of some of my favorite images and memories of times with Stephen, the good and the bad.

Click on some of the images for a larger version. Feel free to copy them an email them to your friends who might be fans of "The Colbert Report".

. .

. .

I'll be back on Monday to continue updating the situation with Colbert.

Anyway....

Keep checking back here for the next concert. Hopefully, I'll come up with a venue or an idea... or something soon. (Gotta pay the rent!!!)

Hey listen! If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to one woman that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Have fun.

See you back here tomorrow.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
