Man! I hafta start thinking about the next thing to do!

The gig at Merkin Concert Hall was great last week, but it's already feeling like a long time ago. and, it's gonna be at least 8 or 10 weeks before we can start even thinking about heading out to "The Hill" in Central Park.

So, I don't know...

Maybe a special gig at H.I.N.Y. if I can arrange it.

I wanna do something kinda special in the next couple of weeks, because one member of the musical circle is gonna be moving away soon.

I'll get to that subject here at the website over the weekend.

In the meantime... I've decided that I'm just gonna hafta let this whole thing with Stephen Colbert go.

I mean, last night he finally said he was beginning to like Barack Obama. (It was the White House backyard swing-set.)

Okay.... he didn't come to my concert last Thursday night. I'm beginning to understand. I mean, as much as he loves my music, and as much as we've had singing together in the past (He lays down a mean harmony, did you know that?) ...I guess my political views are just too much for him to handle. (See: Special Update about Rush Limbaugh)

And, I did write this Truthful and factual song about his idol and brother-in-bullshit, Bill O'Reilly. (Bill O'Reilly: T.L.O.T.B.G.H.)

Damn! Too bad. I'll miss the good ol' days when things were different.

And, of course he's busy stoking fear and admiration among his "nation". And he's probably spending a lot of time with Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton. (Although... I don't think the rumors of a romance are true. I love the guy, but I can't imagine what she would see in him.

Still, I think the buzz started when they met on the set of that Star Trek movie which was never released....

STAR TREK VII: The Search for Representation

Just click on this photo to view the original still photo from the film.

It was the first dramatic role for both of those two kids, and that kind of experience can be pretty intense. But, that's not for me to judge. If the rumors are true, (And I don't think they are!) ...that kind of passion cannot be dictated.

Anyway....

Keep checking back here for the next concert. Hopefully, I'll come up with a venue or an idea... or something soon. (Gotta pay the rent!!!)

Hey listen! If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to one woman that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Have fun.

See you back here tomorrow.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
