Welcome to all of you who are reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Thanks to all of you here in New York City who showed up at the concert in Merkin Concert Hall last week!

An welcome to everyone who's ever spent at least one afternoon with me in Central Park.

So, what's been goin' on around here?

Well, I'm still not speaking to Stephen Colbert.

Oh sure, we're as different politically as night and day... actually a reeeeallllly dark night and a reeeeallly sunny day! But, I kinda thought we were friends. I thought that music was our Common Ground.

Now, even though he was invited to my concert here in NYC and didn't show up, I still watch his show. (I'm not a grudge holder.) And 2 nights ago in his opening remarks he made a reference to a "rumor" goin' around that there was something romantic going on between himself and Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton. (D-D.C.)

Now, I'm not saying it's true and I'm not saying it's not.

But if they do have something goin' on, I betcha it started on the set when they were making that yet-to-be-released 7th Star Trek movie....

STAR TREK: The Search for Representation

Okay!

Just click on this photo to view the original still photo from the film.

It was the first dramatic role for both of those two kids, and that kind of experience can be pretty intense.

So... who knows?

By the way, some of you might wanna hit the "Archive" and catch up on some of the recent updates.... especially my Special Edition update concerning that vacant bag-o-wind, Rush Limbaugh.

Hey y'know what!? I'm also just gonna post this again for fun... 'cause it was a lot of fun and there are a whole bunch of brand new people visiting this site this week. (A whole bunch of really sweet people from South Jersey.)

Y'know, I just got back from doing a week-long gig in Mexico a couple of weeks ago. I met an awful lotta swell people south of the border. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to one woman that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

But, here's a little video from that trip.

While I was in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo I got to jam a little bit with a songwriting legend. (And, really nice guy.)

Paul Williams

I was doing a gig on the last night and Paul was in the audience hangin' out with a bunch of his friends. So, just for kicks I asked him if he'd jump up on stage and share a moment with me, my guitar and the people.

Click on the image to watch the video. (And, just smile, okay?)

Damn!

Fun, right? Mr. Paul Williams. And he's a really good guy.... genuine and fun. (I always say... the "bad guys" just glance off my Life and the "Good Guys" stick.)

Hey listen! If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to one woman that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Have fun.

See you back here tomorrow.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
