Damn!
I don't know where in the country or where in the world you're reading this.... but here in New York City it's around 63 degrees today and sunny! THIS WOULD BE A "PARK DAY"!

Oh well.
I have all the paper work in. (Actually, I submit all the applications and checks to the Parks Department in December!) So hopefully the first day we'll all be singing in the park again will be Saturday, May 2. Keep your fingers crossed. Let's hope both the weather and the permit office cooperate!
Y'know, if you've been comin' around here since my last concert at Merkin Concert Hall, you might know...

... i might be lettin' this situation with Stephen Colbert get to me a little bit too much.
I guess you guys have heard the news that my ex-buddy and new nemesis, Stephen Colbert managed to rig the contest that NASA was having to name a module on the International Space Station.
Yeah... when voting ended on March 20, "Colbert" had amassed more than 230,000 votes to beat out second-place name "Serenity" by more than 40,000 votes.
"Come on, Serenity?" Colbert said. "That's not a space module, that's a Glade plug-in."
So... it looks like the Space Station is gonna be named COLBERT!
Well, that's it!!!
Okay!!! Russian space satellites, spy satellites, government surveillance... that's one thing! But... the name of that right-wing, flag-waving, pompous, Bush-loving lunatic!!! How can we live knowing that his name is looking down on us 24 hours a day! I just couldn't take it.
Damn! And we used to be such good friends. (If only he would admit to the world that he digs my music and hates my politics!)
Oh well.
If you're new around here and you have NO idea what I'm talkin' about, you can hit the "Archive" and catch up.
In fact, here's a little gallery of some of the past images from the "Feud with Stephen Colbert". (I'm still workin' on the song!!!)

Okay, outta here.
See you TOMORROW! Enjoy this weather!!!
Thanks for everything
