Y'think this might be the last snowfall for this season?

Damn! It's pretty.... but, after a week-long gig in Mexico, and seeing so many of your beautiful faces in Merkin Concert Hall last week...

...I'm about ready for Spring to get here.

Won't be long now. Hell, this is March. I usually start getting out there to Central Park sometime in May.

I think I might hafta ask you to check back here tomorrow to begin a yearly thing I hafta do around here a the website. And tomorrow, I'll also start posting some of the photos that are coming into the website from all of you "camera-phone" people out there. (I always have the theater make an announcement that photography is definitely allowed at my gigs. I mean.... who cares!?)

But, for today...

Now, I don't wanna harp on this. But, we all got together at Merkin Concert Hall and had a great time! I was joined on stage by George Wurzbach, Janet Kirker, Ryan Cavan, David Marcus and Chris Tedesco. These people are amazing to share a stage with.

But, I finally went ahead an invited a man who has been a secret fan of my music.... paticularly some of the Love songs that I've written over the years. A lovely woman and new good friend actually went down to the studio where he does his show and asked his writers to personally invite him for me.

But y'see... as much as he loves my songs (And even cries like a baby every time he sings "Wedding in Danville" and "Here Today".) ...he hates me songs of social conscience. Still, we've remained secret friends with a grudging respect for each other... until now.

I've had it with all this sneakin' around, betraying my Truth because he has a "nation" to worry about. I think it's time he could finally come out of the closet and admit that he digs my love songs.... even if he hates songs like "Where's the Voice"

Hell! I even let him sit in and jam with us once... in his own special way.

(Of course, I've always honored his need for secrecy with photos like this until now. I've just had it! He shoulda come to the concert last week. We coulda snuck him in and out.)

Oh well.

I'll have more about this in the coming week.

And TOMORROW... I'll begin posting some photos from the gig last Thursday night at Merkin Hall.

Hey listen! If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to one woman that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Have fun.

See you back here tomorrow.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
