HEY! Before I get into today's update.

STEPHEN COLBERT'S GOT HIS OWN STIMULUS PACKAGE. (Further down the page.)

Now... I've got a question.

One week from tonight! You guys wanna get together and sing like we do in Central Park in the summer?

Call a few friends. See what they're doing next Friday night. Ask them if they feel like hangin' out in a great concert venue and singin' at the top of their lungs... with a whole bunch of the same people who hang at "The Hill" in Central Park all summer.

Friday night, March 20th (The day winter ends)
7:30

H.I. New York Performance Hall
Amsterdam Ave @ 103 Street

The concert will be at 7:30 and will feature my longtime backup vocalist and friend David Marcus in a kind of a farewell performance.

Seriously, Dave is moving back to his home state of Maryland and this is just gonna be a gig where we can all get together, sing some, share some laughs, and say good bye to Dave. Give "The People on the Hill" a chance to say "thanks" and good luck. GONNA BE FUN because more than half of the songs Dave and I sing together are cover songs that you guys all sing along with. So, this is gonna be might to really let it rip.

H.I.N.Y. only has 150 seats as compares to the 450 at Merkin Concert Hall. So, you might wanna grab tickets today or this weekend. All you do is hit the banner up there and reserve as many seats as you need. Your name will automatically be placed on the "Guest List" at the door that night. (Or just show up with $15 that night. ALL seats are the same price!)

Colbert Update

Okay... now if you've been coming around here since the "Return to Merkin Hall" concert, you know that I'm no longer speaking to Stephen Colbert. Oh sure, I still watch his show every night out of respect for the friendship we once shared. But.... he didn't show up at my last gig and he just won't admit to his "nation" or the general public that he digs my music. (It's only because he hates the way I look at the world, and how I feel about the last 8 years in this country.)

Still, I've gotta say.... with all the crap I hear coming out of his right-wing buddies about the American economy these days, at least his version of a stimulus package is... interesting.

You can hit the Archive to check out the updates about Bill Maher and Ann Coulter... or any other updates for the past.... um.... YEARS!

But, as far as Colbert goes... I'm thinking I'm gonna let it go. The resentment I mean. If he wants to say in the closet with his "nation" that's okay with me. We're just not gonna keep this kind of history a secret here at the website anymore.

. .

Anyway....

HOPE I SEE YOU NEXT FRIDAY NIGHT!!!

Hey listen! If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to one woman that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Have fun.

See you back here tomorrow.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
