Hey welcome to the website.

Y'know, if you're just catching up on the falling out I had with Stephen Colbert, you can just hit this "Archive Link" and check out the updates back to around the last Merkin Hall Concert. They're all there.

Like I always try to do, I'd like to welcome everyone who's checkin' in here from different parts of the country, different parts of the world, and anyone who's new around here.

For those of you here in New York City, got something pretty cool comin' up about a week from now. This coming Friday night!

I KNOW IT'S KINDA LAST MINUTE!

BUT I had to kinda book something fast. And, we've done lots of great gigs in this cool little venue! It's a very simple, little concert that will feel a whole lot like our afternoons on "The Hill" in Central Park.

Friday night, March 20th (The day winter ends)
7:30

H.I. New York Performance Hall
Amsterdam Ave @ 103 Street

The concert will be at 7:30 and will feature my longtime backup vocalist and friend David Marcus in a kind of a farewell performance.

Seriously, Dave is moving back to his home state of Maryland and this is just gonna be a gig where we can all get together, sing some, share some laughs, and say good bye to Dave. Give "The People on the Hill" a chance to say "thanks" and good luck. GONNA BE FUN because more than half of the songs Dave and I sing together are cover songs that you guys all sing along with. So, this is gonna be might to really let it rip, just like we do in Central Park in the summer.

H.I.N.Y. only has 150 seats as compares to the 450 at Merkin Concert Hall. So, you might wanna grab tickets today or this weekend. All you do is hit the banner up there and reserve as many seats as you need. Your name will automatically be placed on the "Guest List" at the door that night. (Or just show up with $15 that night. ALL seats are the same price!)

Okay...

WHAT DID WE LEARN THIS WEEK?

Okay, just when you were making sense of the world.... just when you thought there was reason and sanity in the world... the unthinkable happens!

(I know. I know. I'm as devastated as you are.)

Did you read this in the paper earlier this week!?

.

Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin, the teenage daughter of Gov. Sarah Palin, have broken off their engagement, he said Wednesday, about 2 1/2 months after the couple had a baby. Johnston, 19, told The Associated Press that he and 18-year-old Bristol Palin mutually decided "a while ago" to end their relationship. He also said some details of the breakup, rumors of which had been swirling on the Internet, were inaccurate.
Bristol Palin said in a statement that she was devastated about a report on Star magazine's Web site that quoted Levi's sister, Mercede, as saying Bristol "makes it nearly impossible" to visit the teenagers' infant son, Tripp. The baby was born Dec. 27.

.

Okay... first things first. Read this article. Bristol, Levi, Mercede, Tripp. Now add to that... Piper, Track, Willow, Trig!

I was talkin' to a couple of my friends, Tick and Plaster, at a diner last night last night. They both didn't think the break up was such a big deal. But I said, "I think it's a shame. And they'll both be sorry, or my middle name isn't Fluke!"

Can ask this question...

Is there a trophy or a prize or a Republican tax credit in Alaska for giving your offspring bizarre names?

Okay. Okay.... but as much of a shock as this must be to the stability of what Sarah Palin calls "real America" that these two teenagers have decided to split up, I think this report in the New York Times yesterday was a bigger shock. So much so that, feud or not, I REFUSE to believe it until I speak with my friend personally. I think this must have been one of those "rumors that have been swirling around the internet".

At least I hope so!

If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to someone a while ago that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Have fun.

Alright, I gotta get back to work.

Got Dave Marcus comin' over today to run some song for the concert next week.

I also hafta find out what else is going on in Colbert's twisted life these days.

Be back tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
