TODAY.... it's all about the first wave of concert photos which are being sent in to the website from you guys who were in the audience!

It's also about an announcement - - Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, Dean Love, is searching for stories from "The Hill". He wants to hear from you guys. (Check out the link over there on the right of this page.)

And, it's about my continuing dismay over Stephen Colbert.

BUT, first...

If you're reading this in a different part of the country or a different part of the world, I gotta tell you - we had some snow here in New York City yesterday and, damn! It's just one of the prettiest things on earth when it happens.

Still, I'm ready for Spring now.

Okay... were you at the concert last Thursday night! We had a blast! (Even though I invited Stephen through my good friend Laura Manske, he didn't show up! I guess he's too concerned about the reaction of his precious right-wing "nation" if he admitted he actually digs my love songs.) Oh sure, he's spent entire afternoons out on "The Hill" with us. He loves to hang out with all of you in Central Park in the summer. He's just usually wearing a disguise of some kind.

But, there were a lot of you who did show up at the concert with digital cameras, and this week the photos are starting to come in to the website.

Here are the first:

.

We had a really good time. Damn! I love my life! I love writing songs and singin' them for you guys.

Now, like I said yesterday... I don't wanna harp on this. But, we all got together at Merkin Concert Hall and had a great time! I was joined on stage by George Wurzbach, Janet Kirker, Ryan Cavan, David Marcus and Chris Tedesco. These people are amazing to share a stage with.

But, I finally went ahead an invited a man who has been a secret fan of my music.... particularly some of the Love songs that I've written over the years. A lovely woman and new good friend, Laura Manske, actually went down to the studio where he does his show and asked his writers to personally invite him for me.

But y'see... as much as he loves my songs (And even cries like a baby every time he sings "Wedding in Danville" and "Here Today".) ...he hates me songs of social conscience. Still, we've remained secret friends with a grudging respect for each other... until now.

I've had it with all this sneakin' around, betraying my Truth because he has a "nation" to worry about. I think it's time he could finally come out of the closet and admit that he digs my love songs.... even if he hates songs like "Where's the Voice"

You can start to go back through the "Archive" and check out more on this story.

Hey listen! If you're new around here.... there's a lot to check out. Besides being a self-described "possibility-junkie", I was explaining to one woman that I'd also become a photoshop-junkie. You can hit the "Archive" here and search through hundreds of updates. A lot of cool stuff here at the site. FREE songs. Cartoons.

Have fun.

See you back here tomorrow.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
