Guys.... I'm slammin' busy today.

And, I had to borrow a car to head out to Long Island to see my Dad.... "Pop".

BUT - the concert is one week away. Well, one week from tomorrow night.

GET YOUR TICKETS!!!!

You don't wanna miss this one. Seriously. Emmy Award winning filmmaker, Dean Love is gonna shoot this concert, so you'll be part of the movie! George Wurzbach is joining me on stage again, as well as Ryan Cavan, David Marcus, Janet Kirker and Chris Tedesco. We had such a good time in December and we're gonna do it again. If you missed the "Year-End" gig, don't miss this one. Or, if you were at that concert.... LET'S DO IT AGAIN!

But, no foolin' around. Call a few friends and grab some seats today!

Here's yesterdays update, with 2 ways to order tickets...

******

Hey! Welcome back to the website!

Did you have a day off yesterday? I'll have a little something goofy to say about President's Day further down the page. But, first...

I hafta let you know that I'll be back a little later today or tomorrow with an update about the availability of tickets left for "The Return to Merkin Hall" concert next week.

You can call the box office directly today between noon and 7:00 to grab seats.

(212) 501-3330

Or you can order your tickets right now online. Click on this banner!

This is gonna be a fun show.

We're just gonna break up the winter with some music and laughs and that "It's Just Us" feeling! You oughta be able to show up and look around that great concert venue and see a whole lotta of the same faces you see all summer in Central Park... everyone, all of us counting down to the warm weather.

Y'know... I love playing in Central Park. I've been out there for so many years now. And, I really mean it when I say that envy has left my life.... I wouldn't trade laces with another artistr or another person on the face of the earth.

Look where I just got to spend a week sharing my songs!

.

And, on top of that... I was doing a gig on the last night I was down there and got to share a surprise guest with the audience. This particular night there was another guy hangin' out with a bunch of his friends, a fellow songwriter who has written a song or two... or over a hundred... several which you ALL know!

So, just for kicks I asked him if he'd jump up on stage and share a moment with me, my guitar and the people.

Click on the image to watch the video. (And, just smile, okay?)

Damn!

Fun, right? Mr. Paul Williams. And he's a really good guy.... genuine and fun. (I always say... the "bad guys" just glance off my Life and the "Good Guys" stick.)

Very cool. IF YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE I MET IN MEXICO.... I hope I see you guys there, too!!!! (Go ahead. Make it a night to show off your suntan!)

Only days until we all get together in Merkin Concert Hall on West 67th Street.

Don't get sold out of this one! Call a few friends and grab tickets this week, okay?

Okay...

PRESIDENT'S DAY

Did you have a day off yesterday? For PRESIDENT'S DAY!

Y'know, years ago in February here in The States we celebrated the birthdays of 2 great men... George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

These days, it's called President's Day. (Really a shame that it now seems to include a horse's ass like George W. Bush.)

Still... because of the new title, we get to include some of the most popular American presidents who don't have a day.

.
This president and... um... uh... y'know, this president.

And of course, a guy who I used to party with back in the day... President Ulysses S. Grant. ("Yools" - "Yoolie" - or "Doctor Yool-little" we all used to call him.) This guy was a guaranteed great time.

Oh.... yeah, those two guys up there? Pierce and Polk. Or.... Polk and Pierce.

I'm outta here.

See you back here tomorrow!

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
