Yep... today in New York City.... cold, a little rainy and sleety this morning... but, then it's supposed to clear up and warm up a little for tonight. But, it's still winter. The news is still depressing. And, we all still need a break!!!

Tonight I'll see you all at Merkin Concert Hall!

And, here's the thing! Well... 2 things, really.

I just checked with the box office. Since this gig is on a Thursday night as opposed to Saturday night like the "Year-End Concert" was... there are still really good seats left in both the orchestra AND the balcony. (And, the balcony's only $20)

SO... call the box office right now or just show up around 7:00 to get tickets!

The concert starts at 7:30!

If you feel like it, even at the last minute, just show up at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center tonight.

West 67th Street (Between B'way & Amsterdam)

BUT DON'T TELL STEPHEN COLBERT!!!

HE' S NOT WELCOME!!!

I guess I alluded to it yesterday for the first time here at the website. Stephen and I used to be really tight. I mean, as ideologically opposite as we are, I still had a deep respect and even healthy love for the man... y'know... as a friend... not like 2 headwaiters.

In fact... I don't know if many of you have ever noticed, but last summer that artistic addition to my pickin' arm?

Yeah... click on the image to check it out.

But... now he's pissed me off and out secret friendship is over! (I'll get into that a little bit more in the coming weeks.)

TONIGHT... WE HAVE A SHOW TO DO!!!!!

And if you show up tonight... YOU'RE GONNA BE IN A MOVIE!

No kidding.

An Emmy Award winning filmmaker is following me around this year, making a movie about... I don't know... you and me and the stuff I do. This concert will be one of the first major parts of that film. So, call all your friends and tell 'em they get to be a part of something really cool. (Only in New York, hah?) I'm so lookin' forward to getting on that stage and looking out at so many of the same shining faces I see all summer in Central Park.

We're all gonna get together tonight and hang. It's gonna be another one of those nights where we probably laugh as much as we sing. I'm gonna get to share a stage again with Mr. George Wurzbach and a whole bunch of really swell people - Ryan Cavan, David Marcus, Janet Kirker, Chris Tedesco.

You can call the box office today, directly, between noon and showtime.

(212) 501-3330

There's a young woman named Sierra and a nice guy named Jake running the box office who will be happy to help you get the very best seats still available.

OR, YOU CAN ORDER TICKETS RIGHT NOW ONLINE.

Very cool. IF YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE I MET IN MEXICO.... I hope I see you guys tonight, too!!!! (Go ahead. Make it a night to show off your suntan!) Try to make it to West 67th Street.

Okay, outta here.

See you in a little while!

Thanks for everything

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
