Hey! Sorry there was no update yesterday.

I... um... I uh.... I... - oh fuck it.

.

.

I just took a break.

.

.

.

If you're new around here, or if you're reading this in a different part of the country or a different part of the world, take a few minutes to it the ARCHIVE and browse through the site. There are lots of really fun Photoshop images, FREE songs to download, all kindsa stuff.

For all of you regulars... for all of you here in New York City... for all of you "People on the Hill"...

...this is gonna be a great start to 2009.

Got two indoor concerts to tell you about!

FIRST... I wanna give you guys all the latest and hopefully final version of the brand newest song I've written (wrote it last week.) called "Here Today"

Click on this link to download the song: Here Today

Okay...

The first concert is coming up just a week from this Saturday night at 7:30. Yep! Just 10 days from now. At H.I.N.Y. New York Performance Hall on Amsterdam Ave @ 103rd Street.

Grab some seats for "The 8 Year Concert"! Here's the banner.

Click on this banner to put your name on the list at the door.

OR... you can just show up that night with a $20 bill. I'll let you know if it's lookin' like a sell-out as it gets closer, okay?

I wanted to do something to celebrate this presidential inauguration... AND have a concert to retire so many of the songs I'd felt compelled to write over the past 8 years of this national nightmare.

So! On Saturday night, January 24th, we'll all get together in H.I. New York Performance Hall and sing a bunch of those songs one last time and retire them forever! We'll sing other stuff, too. It'll be a blast. But, I wanna get everybody who senses Hope and Possibility in a room so we can feel this release together! (Then, of course, we have a LOT more work to do!)

I should tell you... the gig on the 24th is general admission... first come first serve. The concert starts at 7:30 but the house will open at 7:00. And there are no physical tickets. The PayPal thing puts your name in the list at the door.

Cool?

THEN!!!

We're goin' back to Merkin Concert Hall in February for night of music and laughs to break up the winter!

I'll be back really soon with an official announcement about that gig, as well as a date you can start ordering tickets for that one! I'm thinkin' I gotta get the boys together again for that one!

George Wurzbach

Ryan Cavan

Chris Tedesco and David Marcus

I actually can't wait! We had such a good time in December!

Okay, listen... I'll be back tomorrow with a real update.

I'm probably gonna have a little video for you guys, and some other cool stuff.

But, go ahead and call a few friends, and then go ahead and reserve your seats for "The 8 Year Concert" on January 24th.

.

.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
