Be sure to check back tomorrow (Saturday) for the Bernie Madoff question!
But today, well... we had a little more excitement here in New York City yesterday afternoon.
I hope it's a good, good sign for 2009. I mean, the Bush administration started with a horrible plane incident here in town. Yesterday, a plane crash landed in the Hudson River and... everybody survived. Everybody got out. Passengers were doing talk-shows within hours of the emergency!
Love this town.
Now, everybody's talking about the beauty of the landing, the professionalism of the pilot, the speed in which we learned that Canadian geese had probably brought the plane down and the efficiency of the response team and ordinary citizens of this great town.
But, I think they're all missing the real story.
I think they oughta be lookin' into...

The big ass bird that brought down an Airbus A320

Okay, back to business!
No winner for THE 4 WORD CONTEST yet!
Nope. Nobody's guessed the 4 words I was referring to in yesterday's contest, so we'll give it another day. I'm gonna change it up a little...
The first person who emails me the correct 4 words will win the 2 FREE tickets to "The 8 Year Concert" here in New York as well as a CD of your choice.
If you have NO idea what I'm talking about, go check out yesterday's update, watch the video, make your guess and get your email in!!!
Okay... we're getting close. A chance for us to hang out together like we do in Central Park, only indoors and with a really specific and fun purpose this time.
"The 8 Year Concert" one week from tomorrow night... but you can grab your seats right now!!! Today!
This is gonna be a fun gig! You guys know that over the last 8 years I've been compelled to write songs like:
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
